Total lack of communication
Project completed May 20, 2019, Building inspector required changes. Company has not responded to multiple calls and recently made a false promise to repair but has not done so.

Petkus Brothers are HORRIBLE!!!
Their communication stinks. Keith says he will show up and doesn't and doesn't call to let you know he can't make it AND doesn't return your calls to find out what is going on.
Keith does not keep you updated, ie: I had to keep calling re: a visit from their plumber to review my job to move my water heater and finally he let me know his plumber was very busy. Keith set up an appt for he and his plumber, plumber arrived but Keith did not and did not call to say he couldn't make it, plumber waited but had to leave for his next appt. Keith comes 3 days later, tells me to clear the area for the plumber. I waited ll days, no call about starting the job.
Then my kitchen sprung a leak on a Saturday. I called and texted Keith for the plumbers number since I was having a couple of plumbing jobs done (moving water heater, running pipes from kitchen to garage to move washer from house to garage) and only wanted to use one plumber for everything. Finally Keith called and said he and his plumber would come on Sunday to look at the leak. No show, no call and did not return my call or text.
Monday I talked to Kevin and Kevin said they did not do emergencies and Keith does not work on Sundays. Keith's blatant lies cost me time. Keith sent out a plumber who wanted to pull the siding off my house to look for the leak. Since the cabinets were ruined I said pull the cabinets out to find the leak.
The plumber said the siding was easier. Nothing got done and when I talked to Keith he said I wouldn't let the plumber do the job. I said there was no reason to pull the siding off the house because the cabinets were ruined and they had to be pulled anyway so why pull the siding off the house? There is so much more but the kicker was when their project manager called about the sunroom they were suppose to do for me.
I apologized to him that Keith and Kevin did not let him know the plans had changed due to the kitchen leak and it becoming the priority before the sunroom. This being the second incident showing me they don't even communicate with their own employees.
I gave Petkus several chances to redeem themselves but they kept proving they were not honest, truthful, reliable and had terrible communication. If you decide to use Petkus Brothers be prepared for a lot of frustration.

What a crazy complaint. I have met with her many times, enjoyed each visit.
I received a call regarding her concerns on a water leak. I told her to shut the water off, and I'll see if my plumber is available. Shortly later, I spoked with her and told her that, I have not heard from the plumber. Monday morning, first thing I sent the plumber and he reviewed the concern, and asked if he could open up the wall, to find the leak, she refused.
Later that day, the insurance company, sent a plumber and he did open the wall, found the problem.
I wasn't alway available, at her request.
I have spoken to her many times, but not often enough to satisfy her. I wish her all the best..keith petkus

What a crazy complaint. This is keith petkus, I have met with this customer many times. Each and everytime was very pleasant, enjoyed the stories from her life.
Regarding her complaints, there are many issues with her home, that needs to be address. Patio cover and sunroom, was very important to her, along with her water heater, washer and dryer..ect.
I received a call from her, regarding the water heater, and how she wanted to move it. I told her, I would get my plumber out there, to review and see what the options are. He did show up within a reasonable timeline, gone over her options. I was not available to meet with at that time. We did get together a few days later, to look at the options.
Then, the following weekend she called on a Saturday, to express a water leak, on the floor, appeared it has been leaking for quite sometime. She wanted someone there now. I told her that I would see if my plumber was available. Short while later I called and said, I received no returned call. I then told her I would let her know, if I do get a call. I asked her to turn off the waterunder sink, which she did.
Monday, I called her first thing and I routed my plumber to her, he reviewed the situation, recommended that he cut a small hole in the wall, too see where it was leaking. She refused, and sent him away.
Later in the day, she told kevin that the plumber was correct in cutting open the wall,( her plumber from the insurance company, found the leak by doing so) found a nail that was into a pipe, by someone else.
Now she found after all this, her kitchen, was a priority, which I agreed.

$18,000 patio cover leaks

Patio cover installed July 2015. First rain, the entire cover leaked into ALL electrical.
Had to take all fans down and shut off electrical to deck. See video.
Called for service early October and more caulking was added but the fans electrical still leaks. I called on Oct 19th to be told someone would call. I called 10/22 to inquire and was told someone would call.
I called 10/23 to inquire and was told someone would call. I called 10/29 and was told someone would contact. Called for service 10/30 and was told someone would call. Rain again.
Now it is April 2016. Called and emailed several times so far. Ya, we put you on the schedule, ya someone will come out.
It has been almost a year since this expensive POS was installed.
We have decided to just hire a real roofer to fix leaks at an additional cost of $1,500. Never do business with Petkus again.

Yes thier tile crew ,thetre so awesome but the couple are u believable they argue in my house CAUSE THE WIFE WANT to lay out my house her way and not mine ,felt so bad for their daughter i bet she eats craps from them everyday, their work is awesome but the couples is rude !!

No Show, No Call from Petkus!
On Saturday 5/25/13, I was scheduled to have a estimate for a patio cover. Although it was Memorial Day weekend, they still had me down for an appointment, done by Ginger at Petkus.
Thursday before my appt. Ginger even called to move my appt. from 9:30 to 9:00 am- which was just fine. However NO ONE SHOWED OR CALLED for any cancellation or that they were running late.
I even called the company main number at 10am when they are suppose to be open, no one answered. I went online to live chat with someone named "Dan" who said they would forward my issue and someone would get in contact with me ASAP- no one called. I stayed home until noon and still haven't heard one thing. This shows the lack of professionalism, concern and respect they have for customers.
They will not be getting my business. I don't know why a company who is well know.
And been around for years would act in such a terrible manner. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY- WASTE OF TIME!!!!

In November of 2010 I had Kevin Petkus (with Petkus Brothers) come and give a bid on a sun-room and remodel on my kitchen. There was an issue of a pool that needed to be taken out and backfilled. I decided to do the project in two sections. First take out the pool. Kevin Petkus told us that we would take out a permit when we did the additions. I signed a contract with Petkus Brother to take out the pool. They sub Contracted the job to Thomas Concrete. They did not do the job right and thus the backyard flooded which uncovered rebar that was sticking out of the ground. A Petkus Brother solution was to have me pay Thomas Concrete more money for drainage for the problem and add a top layer of soil. Petkus Brother was unresponsive and I decide to use another contractor. When the new contractor went to put in footing for the new addition, he found the side of the pool a mere 6 inches below the surface! The soil had not been compacted. The City of Sacramento said a permit had to been taken out and should have been done in the first place to have the pool removed.
In October of 2012 Kevin Petkus, my contractor, a company that does Geo-technical testing, another concrete company and I were there on site to run the compaction test. Petkus Brother took no responsibly for the problem and said "He did not think he had to get permits to backfill the pool". He said this in front of witnesses. He offered NO solution to the problem and just walked away before the end of the meeting. He did come back on site and watched them dig up the pool and spoke to my contractor. I now have a bill over $9,000.00 that I have had to pay. I have sent Petkus Brothers a letter with all the information and have not received a solution other than "he needed more time". The company has known about this problem for 2 years, that is plenty of time to right this wrong. It is now November 2012 and the project has been delayed for yet another month. I now have to seek a legal remedy to this mess.
DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR ALL HE WANTS TO DO IS SELL YOU A SUN-ROOM AND WILL NOT STAND BEHIND HIS CONTRACT OR HIS SUB-CONTRACTORS.
They are not professional at all!!
Petcuss Brothers is a construction company that builds sun rooms and patio covers. We have an expensive sun room( about $45,000.000) built by them a year and half ago.
The lighting system that they installed is so dark, so I asked them to replaced it with brighter one. They said OK and I made an appointment with one of the sales persons, but he never showed up never called me back. I was the one that have to keep calling them back until two weeks later they finally gave me a contractor's phone number. My point is that they are not professional at all.
We paid so much money not only for the sun room itself, but for the after care service...
well that's what we thought anyway. Don't waste money getting their products when there is a lot of better construction company out there specially in this kind of economy.

You got a building inspection good for you they did major remodel on our kitchen no permit have had trouble with electrical from the beginning took walls out and Kevin pulls up one day after being here multiple times and says is this 2 story try 3 story don’t recommend them hope house doesn’t collapse
