Treatment of an 88-year-old customer

I was there with my 88 year old mother and saw the man behind the meat counter give her a hard time because she couldnt see the name is the meat she wanted he was rude nasty to her and thought if was funny I had to step in and tell him her eyes are not that good all he need to do was look through the glass he laughed and said he couldnt witch is not true I couldnt believe how he treated a customer for his own amusement he didnt know I was with her until I said something to him we will never go there again its a shame

I was charges for items not in my cart. Customer services and manager very dismissive, and not helpful and understanding.

Poor Customer service

They want you to use their app. Ok - then the checkout person says she forgot to add the $ amount to your app. Sorry I cant do it. Take to customer service. OK Customer service manager says sorry I cant do this for you, take this paper and follow instructions for our web site and do it on line. Take pics of receipt, add # send to their website and after all this BS it comes back cannot use this address as it is not excepting any e mails at this time ! WTH!

Complaint

No body is watching food island bar . Someone bit into a meatball and put it back on the tray ! With covid rampant ! There should be a camera installed over the hot food area if no employees are watching ? That person should be arrested and banned from this store on103 rd and Harlem ave. Two bite marks on the meatball left on the tray with other meatballs ! I told the employee by the hot grill area and he removed the tray promptly! Im afraid to buy hot food there now . Why are there no cameras by the food bar ? Or at least a sign Saying camera is recording!

Clean, Stocked with hard to find products, and nicest staff.

I just moved to Chicago a couple of years ago and found this business. I was amazing as the cleanliness, assortment of hard to find ethnic products, and how nice the staff was. It felt like a small town grocery store in the middle of a big city! I would recommend this to everyone in the area. If you haven't found this gem yet, check it out! They are second to none.

Bad service and no masks for employees

Waited over 35 minutes in line to be checked out, no masks being used by the cashier and the manager on duty named Ryan Guzman. 43rd and Pulaski

User's recommendation: Stay away for letting customer pack into 2 lanes when there is over 35 people in line and employees not wearing masks.

I shop at this location at this is not at all how the company was running their business through the pandemic. They were the first store of that I know of that required masks to shop.

Everything was closed

myself and three friends went to petes in bridgeview on 10/21/2020. at around 4pm and tried to get some hot food to go, but everything was already closed down ,, and we could not even get a cup of coffee as that was also closed. we were very disappointed as we have been their a few times before. don't know if we should go their any more. thank you

No fresh meat here!

My name is Diane Simpson. First time this occurred at this store; but once is enough. I've heard of butchers putting meat in blood to make meat look fresh, but never imagined it would be there. Brought t-bone steak. Two in a package. Put in freezer for a day or two. Decided to fix them; so took them out to thaw in refrigerator. Appeared freezer burned, and very red. The more they thawed out; the worst they smelled. Didn't take them back; discarded them. The smell made me sick. Shame on Pete's! This Pete's is located in Calumet City Illinois 60409on 1968 Sibley Blvd.

If it was freezer burned, it's because you put it in the freezer. That is your fault.
