Performance Pool and Spa - Pool Construction Review from Plainfield, Illinois

Horrible company. Defective cement work. Did NOT stand by warranty tho admitted defects(many)were warrantedvc Did NOT put in drain tile despite pool being carved into hill. Liner bulged EVERY year and they blamed it on "wet spring"etc never owning or revealing fact of NO drain tile. They buried this defect. They built the housing box for the pool cover WITHOUT a drain. So water accumulated in box and motor forbthr pool cover would fail. This happened repeatedly, yet they never once revealed THIS defect which resulted in service call after service call to get the cover operating. This has resulted in thousands of dollars in costs of repair and fixing the defects. Would recommend starting your own pool co before doung business with this one.

Pool pump scandal.

This company was to open up my pool in the spring and a "green" technician from perforamance pool and spa ran my pool pump dry, wrecked it, and now I have to buy a new one. The owner claims his technician knew what he was doing, but the pump ran perfectly quiet last fall and the pool had no water coming out of the jets after the technician left the start up. The "hayward mfg" factory technician received the entire startup story and explained a pump run dry experiences the loudness and squealing my pump is now experiencing. The owner wouldnt even install a new pump at his break even cost.

I agree Performance Pools and Spas just ignores you once they get their payment - DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!
