I have not used peoplePC in 7 years, yet they continue to get paid direct.

I moved in 2011 and have not been able to reach the company to cx account. I no longer have the original email account or phone number.

My name is Beverly Lawson, my former address was 4006 Mescalero, Hobbs, NM. My former email was with Windstream and it does not service where I currently live. Since I cannot connect with my former email, I haven't been able to reach anyone because I don't have my complete account number. The Bank states they cannot cancel the automatic bill pay as it must come from peoplePC.

I need this resolved as I have retired and am on a fixed income. I cannot afford to have over $240 dollars a year to something I do not use.

DO NOT TRY PEOPLE PC - WARNING THEY ARE THEIFS

Updated by user May 20, 2017

i absolutely thing that peoplepc is a bad operated company and I am telling everyone NOT to EVER give them a chance. I have already convinced two people to not go with them.

That being said - I wanted to be done with the company and I paid the money they were demanding. However, they are loosing A LOT MORE in telling others not to go with them. Not only that - even though the small amount of money I had to pay - they lost my business which is a WHOLE LOT MORE.

They are not very bright in trying to keep customers happy. JUST A WARNING- TELL OTHERS ABOUT HOW HORRIBLE THIS COMPANY IS!

Original review Apr 20, 2017

As I indicated before, that I had identity thief and had to change all of my accounts. I was not notified by peoplepc until after they charged my acct an additional $15.00.

I paid the monthly bill and requested they removed the $15.00. They did not answer my letter, instead they sent it to a collection agency and added an additional misc fees of 12.50. People PC are thiefs. I paid the bill just to rid myself of them FOREVER.

I am writing as many reviews and warning people how horrible this company is. PLEASE for your own sake....don't even give this company a chance.

Please they are deceptive in the way they operate. They do not respond to any letters, phone calls, etc.

Peoplepc 20 year unhappy customer

Recently I had identity theft on my checking account. I changed my checking account..

People PC was an automatic withdraw on my checking. They did not contact me that they were unable to withdraw the money UNTIL after they charged an additional $15.00. I immediately paid the bill and requested that they remove the $15 fee since I was a 20 year customer and because of the problems associated with the identity theft. They did not even bother to respond to my letter with a denial - instead they gave my bill to a collection agency.

They don't deserve good customers. I am very unhappy with the customer service and their response to my request.

Why include the procedure on the bill for a review of the problem, if they were not going to respond if it was accepted or denied. Poor Customer Service!

Peoplepc refused to cancel an account and continue to bill

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Father is 90 and had a stroke 2 years ago, he has not been able to move his hands for two years to use the computer. He has now completely disabled and I now have the responsibility to control of his accounts.

His bank accounts are now frozen and I noticed peoplepc is now billing him. I contacted peoplepc to pay the outstanding balance and close the account but some one named Chris (from some far eastern country I was transferred to) said it could not be closed by me unless I had my father call and give him the passwords to his secret questions... May father can't even talk how does this company expect to get that information from a person who can hardly remember his own name. I was told that he will continue to be billed monthly until he can verify the information.

All I wanted to do is pay off the outstanding billing and close the account!

My next step is the Lawyer.... Don't do business with Peoplepc

Peoplepc Webmail not working after 5 days

Have not been able to access our web mail since 9/11/2013. Keep contacting them but get no direct answers.

They kept trying to say it was our computers and phones but after pressing further it is an error on their part. We keep checking to see ir our emails are up but they are still not up. We run a business and need access to our emails.

What makes me upset is the technical people keep wanting to have us do things to the computer but the email server is the problem. Why are they not being honest with the consumer?

Do NOT get involved with PeoplePc

Attempted to cancel the account and was told it had been cancelled. I discovered they were still sucking money out of my bank, so I cancelled the payment.

We are now receiving 10 to 12 calls a day from extremely abusive, barely comprehensible billing people in India demanding another payment. This company is set up to rip people off and then harass them into making payments they don't owe. Do yourself a favor - do an internet search before you even think of signing on with these swine.

You'll find hundreds of complaints and virtually no compliments for this horrible company. Sad because it used to be one of the best.

People PC The worse internet service messes up my computer

I got this free cd computer disc from People PC for free, I installed it in my computer, but every time I accessed the internet service and my email account my computer froze up and the last time I accessed People PC, my computer crashed and I had to reinstall all the programs, I lost some of my letters and some information. I had no way of cancelling the internet service because I had no phone number or address.

Then when I had some problems with my checking account in unrelated matters, so I had to close the cheking account, thus cancelling out the debit visa which People PC used to collect payment.

People PC did call me to demand payment, I told them I had problems with the software and unable to use it, the People PC rep refused to listen and kept demanding payment so I asked for the payment address so I could send a money order for $10 for one last payment, since I have NO checking account and no credit card. The rep refused to give me a address, so instead the People PC gave my account to NCO Collections, another worse company to do business with, I had problems with them before, so if I did not have address for People PC, how could they justify for non payment.

Peoplepc took money out of my bank

I've been calling peoplepc since last year that i don't need their services. every time I call they suggest that I keep their service for two months free and call back before the third month to cancel.

when i call they offer me another two months free, of course by then I forget to call. they have been taking 9.95 a month ffrom my bank account for the last three months. I have bad eyes, am a disable senior, I don't notice my bank statements every month.

today I called and a rude person told me "why don't you just say no when we insist"? that's your fault, don't you go by the terms and condition?"

Peoplepc- Took 3 times to cancel (I hope)

Called to cancel in May. They told me they did.

Got call in August. My credit card on file had expired. "I do not have an account with you". "Yes, you do".

Called customer service (at least 25 min on hold). Instead of cancelling, as they told me they did. they gave me two "free" months and reinstated account. Cancelled again.

Was called two days later for credit card info. "I do not have an account with you". "Yes, you do". Called customer service again (another 25 min on hold).

This time they had signed me up for an email acccount for $1.95/ month instead of cancelling (again, as they told me they had)! Cancelled again. I hope this time sticks! Bad, bad company with horrible and sneaky tactics.

Someone needs to stop them.

Billed for a canceled account

I opened my account with peoplepc in 2006. I cancelled my service in June 2008.

I had a bad feeling and logged back into my account today to find out they were still billing me for services that I canceled well over two months ago. I called customer service where I was told there was nothing I could do and the collections department was going to start calling me. There is no way I am paying for an account that I canceled so I'm sure this will be on my credit report.

I have never heard of such poor company practices.

Stay Away From People Pc

Installed Spyware/Adware; got yelled at; IMs were not working with them; unistalled something on the computer and crashed it. Quote price to fix it $200-$300 at the least.

Tried to cancel membership since May. They gave me 1 month more free sevice, it was supposed to have been for 2 months. Now they are trying to charge me for July. Tried to cancel 4 times.

was told the account was canceled last week they called again the next day. I had so many problems with them that I had free service for 6 months. that is the only thing they did.

Would not aknowledge that they tore up the computer but they were sorry for the inconvinience it has caused.
