If you don't know where the water main shutoff in your home is, then run---run next door and have a neighbor help you find it. Best to put the money you are paying them monthly in a bank account for use when something breaks and you have to call a local plumber, repairman, etc.

The hospital called and said Medicare wouldn't pay because she had Humana? Doesn't sound right. Medicare is primary and any other insurance is secondary. Sounds like mom is confused. You need to get a legal and medical power of attorney for both parents with you or some other relative on it so you can handle any and all of these problems which seems to be coming up in the future. And, of course make sure their assets are protected when they pass on, depending on what they have, eg., joint bank accounts with you, etc.

First thing you need to do is cancel or not renew with Onstar and then join AAA which will get you road service. Get the Premier one for a hundred or so dollars a year. Then, find someone to teach you how to change your tire for the next time you need to put that little spare onto the car. Then, of course pay more attention to the road and it's debris just sitting there awaiting your tire to run over it.

This happened to me on two occasions, but luckily I returned items I had not yet paid for---they sent them to me and, if I didn't want that particular item I could return it, etc. I advised them they were, indeed sent back using the original packaging and return label and they said they were so sorry that something must have happened and they would do me a favor and call it even. Your problem is that you apparently paid for the items---I assume by check. best you get the "move to Canada" idea out of your head. I can guarantee you wouldn't like actually living there. It sounds like you applied for Social Security disability and were denied. You can appeal the decision but make sure you have alot of medical certification that you are, indeed disabled and unable to work. Your situation is the reason everyone should not count on retiring with only Social Security payments as their sole source of funds, ie., start saving for your old age early and keep it up throughout your working years in order to supplement the Social Security you receive when you retire. Your best option is to have the car towed to your local chevy dealer and see if they can find the problem. Unless you have a local mechanic who has the necessary equipment and testing machines they will all just be guessing as to what is wrong. A dealer's mechanic should be able to find the problem. Good luck, but something got "turned off" when the battery was removed and a good dealer's mechanic should be able to find it.

Sounds like your didn't thoroughly read the terms and conditions of the "free trial" you signed up for. If you did the smart thing and paid with a credit card then just dispute the charge(s). You might have to have your card issuer cancel the card and issue a new one, especially if you claim fraud by Amora, etc. A new card will give Amora no way to charge you in the future. If you paid for your trial dollar via a debit card, then good luck, altho you can still dispute the charges you may wait a long time for your money back. The easiest way to cancel the deliveries is to submit a fraud claim with your card company and get a new one.

Put what you are paying them in the bank and save it for when you have to call a real plumber in your area for service. You would, no doubt get much better service from a local plumber. Ask around for a good one or two that people have used. As for the "hissing" sound in the toilet, it sounds like you need to replace either just the flapper or the insides if it is an old toilet that's not been looked at for some time. This is not expensive if you buy the parts yourself and is easy to do yourself or have someone you know is handy do it for you. That would save the service call for a plumber. For the leak in your bathtub, your description is rather vague as to what, where, how it is leaking but you might want to call a real plumber on that. You are paying AHS good money every month for what kind of service?

Something is very odd with this situation. I have never heard of Garmin "breaking in" while trying to update via Garmin Express and saying they were "approved by Microsoft." Sounds like you already had a virus/malware on your machine which kicked in when you tried to update Garmin. Your first action should have been to cancel the update, get out of Garmin Express and then run your own anti virus/malware software already handy on your computer. Malwarebytes is a great one for finding malware of the type this sounds like. I think you have been scammed and better clean your machine pronto. Also, the method of payment demanded is rather suspicious in this day and age, is it not? You might want to spend a few dollars and stop payment of the check as soon as possible.

They either have no price posted anywhere near the products displayed and a lack of price-checks in the store but the real scam comes when the item(s) scan higher than they should be and because the cashier scans the items at a furious pace you fail to notice the higher price. Walmart in my area is notorious for this, as are the Meijer stores. The best thing to do is slow down the cashier so you can observe each and every item price as it is scanned. As for the lack of manned checkouts, Meijer stores are giving Walmart a run for their money is this area. Amazon.com always has adequate open checkout lanes---just a thought.

Improper charging and refusal of reimbursement

Many new computers come loaded with anti virus software pre-installed and with a "trial" period that ends within a certain length of time, after which you can either uninstall it or pay for further use of the program. You apparently gave them your cred/debit card when you either first used McAfee or after the trial ended. Usually, when you continue use of the program and pay for a year more they have a blurb saying they will automatically renew your subscription until you cancel---which you did not. You only stopped using the program. This tactic catches many people who don't read the terms and conditions and/or don't pay attention to their monthly card statements. The best thing to do when you buy a new computer is to go thru and get rid of the many pre-loaded "bloatware" programs that come with it. The anti virus ones are the first that should be uninstalled immediately without ever using it. There are many free anti virus programs out there, eg., Avast and thus, no reason to pay for them. The free ones work well for most home computer users. As a further note: never, ever use a debit card online. They are much too dangerous. Always use a credit card and always review your monthly statements. Use this as a learning experience.

The old saying "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply to your Caddy, does it? I suspect neither the dealer or GM will cover this damage under the "ordinary wear and tear" or similar terminology. I assume, since you live in Florida the car sits in the sun most of the time---you appear to not put many miles on it per year. The original paint application(s) at the factory were not done correctly and that does happen although I would have expected GM to at least split the cost to repair it with you. It's fixed now and there seemingly is no reason to ever buy another car from that dealer nor buy a GM vehicle again. Next time you need a vehicle, shop around for something else. Good luck.

Don't know why you would want to "attack a copy of there email...." but, to each his own. Your situation is not unique and happens on occasion. If you cannot use the restore function of windows then your best bet is to take the machine back to the original factory state as suggested. This is probably the best and only solution at this point as the problem only got worse with time/use. Glad to read from the email received from AVG that they are committed to the best customer service, but I haven't found any of these companies with good customer service. Do what you gotta do and get on with life. Luckily, the machine is replaceable for a modest price of just a few hundred dollars. By the way, there are many free anti virus programs out there, eg., Avast. For the average user, the free editions work just fine. Once you start paying for something with all the bells and whistles bad things start to happen. To paraphrase Jack Webb "just the basics, ma'am."

Wait a minute! You say you went through 8-10 pairs of New Balance shoes in the past two years? I find that hard to believe unless you are incredibly gullible or have money to burn. Most shoes you buy nowadays, especially from local stores both big and little are now made in China and they are, indeed junk---poorly constructed with cheap materials and do not wear well or last for any great length of time. A good idea is to always check the shoe aisles of all stores for shoes on clearance. I buy shoes of all brands and styles when on clearance for anywhere from 8$ to $14 or so and stock up. When a pair falls apart or fails I just go to the closet and pick another pair of whatever I have stored. There is no reason to pay regular price for junk shoes.

What is the warranty time limits stated in your paperwork that came with the machine? It sounds like your warranty period is over and any repairs you want done are now your responsibility. Best Buy doesn't repair appliances, but if you had purchased an extended warranty, perhaps that policy would cover the repairs. Sounds like you didn't do that---usually, a very wise decision---so if a local repairman cannot fix it cheaply, just junk it and buy another from some other store. It is what it is.

Tell her to do so. This situation is but another reason to never use a debit card, where your money is immediately taken from your bank account. As an aside, buying gift cards may be a popular way to give a gift but the bad guys have caught on to this trend and there is alot of scams, bad cards, etc. now associated with them. Buying one off a rack in Walmart is especially dangerous as the crooks scan these cards which are just there, in the open to get the bar codes and then check them daily to see if someone has bought a card. They then use the numbers to buy products for themselves, etc. Do a web search for "scams with gift cards" or similar to see what I mean. Finally, your complaint about Walmart customer service is just another in a long, long litany of dissatisfaction with Walmart. Do they care? No, not as long as people still shop there.

Actually, given that Amazon's shipping arrival dates of late bears no resemblance to reality, there was no real guarantee that the package they said would arrive on the 26th would actually show up on your doorstep----or, if delivered by the USPS to some stranger down the street or not at all. Amazon may use carriers like FedEx but specifies the use of FedEx Smartpost which means FedEx delivers to the local post office which is supposed to deliver to you. Which is not always the case. This method is cheaper for Amazon but rather haphazzard due to the inefficiency of the USPS. At least you cancelled the order and stores are still open tonight, Christmas eve. This is why paying online for anything other than a credit card is so dangerous. At least, with a credit card your money is not gone instantly as with a debit card. There are many other places to shop online than at Amazon. Try some.

My question would be whether FedEx actually delivered the package to someone else or was it originally shipped via FedEx who delivered it to the local post office for actual delivery to you? Check the tracking carefully to see. Many companies using FedEx now pay for something called FedEx "smart post" which starts out with FedEx but is delivered to your local post office who is responsible for delivering it to you. That's where the problem may arise, as the USPS is rather inept and, at least in my area has the habit of delivering to strangers, etc. or not at all---it just disappears. If you paid via a credit card---the smart way to order online---file a dispute for package not received. The shipper is responsible for finding out what happened, not you as you never received it. Walmart, as shipper can file a claim with FedEx for the mess-up. Remember, never pay for something you don't owe.

It comes in various sizes to fit most any home, apartment or tent if you happen to reside in that sort of structure. It cools food which helps preserve it's quality so when you feel the need to eat you just open it up and prepare something to eat from it. Or, most grocery stores now stock and sell food in boxes, cans and the like so that you can also eat whatever is contained in them. This is not rocket science. Herman Survivor boots, the original company at least, is no longer in business but the brand name lives on at Walmart, the sole purveyor of this once-great brand. They are sold only at Walmart and are made in China. Those who are old-enough to remember how good the brand once was will be very disappointed in the quality of the product now sold by Walmart. Years ago, KMart would refund your money for any pair of shoes purchased at any KMart no matter when you bought them. This was years ago and most stores will no longer take back shoes that have been worn---for good reason as they cannot re-sell them and Walmart really isn't in the business of providing good customer relations. Throw the boots in the trash and find another brand, hopefully one made in the US. Perhaps Red Wing brand?
