Over priced, p-poor support; N360 is resource hog

Symantec #1203470
The first thing everyone should do when they purchase a new computer is to go through and see what junk comes pre-installed and remove them, eg., anti-virus software, games, etc. One way to identify these "bloatware" programs is to use a free little program like pc decrapifier which you can get at:
pcdecrapifier.com
As an aside, whenever you uninstall any anti virus software you need to make sure you clean out ALL of it as some files tend to remain. Do a search for "norton clean uninstall" or "mcafee clean uninstall" for example and run the small clean uninstall program to totally get rid of what remains.

Walt Disney World - Fast Pass Review from Orlando, Florida

Walt Disney World #1203239
I hope you did not tip the waitress at Tusker House! As for Disney World, yes they seem to have spent something like $2B on their new system(s) and ended up messing up the whole thing. They took a good way of doing things with their fast pass system and ended up destroying it. We no longer go to Disney World and, instead go elsewhere. It has become too much of a hassle trying to ride anything as you mention plus their employees are no longer as helpful and friendly as in years past. I suggest you take a nice two week drive "out west" and see the wonderful sites in Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, etc. You will spend less money in two weeks out west than you will for 5 or 6 days in Disney World. And, of course you won't be paying good money to a company that fired American tech employees in order to hire foreign ones. Or, support a company that treated The Boy Scouts of America like dirt. Your comments re: Disney World are the same as many others I have read online.

Inconsistent pricing yet again

Meijer #1203213
Meijer has changed in the last few years and not for the better. Yes, you have to carefully watch prices when shopping there as it seems they are unable or unwilling to correctly price many of their store itlems---in all departments. You have to be especially careful with clearance items, for example. The clearance price will say one thing but the item will scan with a higher price at the register. We have taken to telling the cashier to not start scanning any of our items until we have them all on the belt and are ready to carefully watch each item ring up. The cashiers don't like this as it slows them down and they say they are timed. We also tell them to scan slowly so we can properly observe the scanned price. All in all, our loyalty to Meijer has gone out the window and we find ourselves shopping more and more at Kroger and other stores just to avoid being ripped off by Meijer.

Old Navy #1202789
Well, yes you can indeed cash a check that is not written out to you, especially if you are a large business. I was part of a major corporation and we cashed many checks not made out to our business. Most places do not look at to whom it is made out to but just look at the amount and post that amount to your account. Someone at ComEd actually looked at the check which is rather unusual. There is nothing you can do, of course. Just take some vitamin B12 for your memory and try to do better with next month's checks.

Sams Club - Simply Right Dog Food Review from Ada, Oklahoma

Sams Club #1202786
A couple of years ago there were news articles concerning bad and dangerous dog food being sold here that came from places like China, etc. Not all of the ingredients, just some of the meat by-products, etc. Many major brands were involved. I would suspect WalMart is getting the dog food from a manufacturer that is getting some of the ingredients from some foreign land where food standards are negligible. Best to try to find a major brand that says it contains all US made ingredients, etc. Don't forget, things are cheaper at Walmart for a reason.

I think you are trying to trick us. Kaspersky is a good product, but I, and others have found their customer support to be rather bad---inept, actually even if they bother to answer the phone. There is really no reason to pay for anti virus software when Avast and others offer a free version which is more than adequate for most home computer users. Of course, they have bad customer service also, but why pay for bad service when you can get it for free if and when you ever actually need it?

They, like most others are getting their belts from some foreign land---most likely China---and the leather being used is of very low quality as is the construction of the belt and buckle. Your safest method of buying a belt is to buy from a retail store where you can actually inspect it, etc. Get the name, etc. and see if it is sold on Amazon.com if you find the local price too high.

Why in the world would anyone PAY a yearly fee just to shop at a store? At least, if you join Amazon Prime for example, you get not only low prices and access to their streaming service but free two day shipping. At Sam's Club you get so-so prices and terrible customer service from ill-clothed, unkempt and clueless employees. For your tires, I have found purchasing new ones from your auto dealership to be just as cheap and not only are the tires not seconds as at Sam's Club but the guys installing them are very knowledgeable and efficient. You may think you are getting name brand tires at Sam's Club/Walmart but they are made to WalMart specs and are NOT the same or as good as the name brand tires you buy at a dealership or at a tire store like Firestone, Goodyear, etc.

Sorry about your mom but really, you didn't "fail" her. Both of my parents had serious problems that required full time care but I had siblings and we all rotated taking care of both of them. It worked out but was a considerable strain on all of us. It is NOT easy to do---if you can do it. It happens. Sounds like you are on Humana's mailing list. Doubt you will ever get off of it. If they send you junk in the mail and include a postage paid envelope, just start stuffing the junk in one of their postage paid envelopes and send it back to them. If nothing else, they get to pay the postage for you to return it. I do this with all junk mail if they include a postage paid envelope. Stuff other junk mail in there also just to make it bigger and weigh more---the postage is calculated on weight so they pay more, etc.

Price Matching

Amazon #1202082
All retailers have their own procedures and are incapable of changing them for any reason, much less common sense. That's why cashiers, for example at a store are confounded and unable to sell you something that hasn't a tag with a bar code on it---they have no procedure for something that cannot be scanned into their computer. When a place like Kohls has a computer problem they simply stop selling anything to anyone because they cannot scan the item. They are unable to even take cash. This inability to compensate for the unexpected does not bode well in the event of a major disruptive event.

EXPIRED FOOD!

Nutrisystem #1201563
I'll give you some advice: cancel NutriSystem immediately and don't let them charge you a cancellation fee. Then, keep an eye on the frozen food sales at places like WalMart, etc. or any grocery store and stock up on Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, etc. frozen meals when on sale for $2 or less. You will have a ton of choices and they are all better-tasting than NutriSystem junk. Even if you had to buy a small freezer for a couple of hundred dollars---like the ones Walmart sells for students---it will quickly pay for itself. Then, start counting calories an keep your caloric intake to around 1000 calories a day and also walk a mile or even more a day. You need to control your caloric intake and exercise daily in order to lose weight. There are so many, many options in preference to NutriSystem out there. No reason to pay for bad-tasting, expired food sold at a premium by NutriSystem. Good luck. Aloha.

You cannot order shoes or even clothes online and be assured they will fit, especially shoes. I wore a size 9 for decades and now wear anywhere from a 9 to an 11 1/2 depending on the brand and where it was made. Also, you can no longer be assured of good quality in shoes. I wear only leather shoes as I value my feet but many of the name brands have such poor quality leather they do not hold up and will peel, crack and separate from the sole sooner, rather than later. The best thing to do is buy shoes when on clearance at large retailers and try them on and then buy a few extra pairs so you can just throw them out when their poor quality makes them fail. I haven't paid more than $11 for a pair of leather shoes of all brands in years. My last pair of Nunn Bush shoes turned out to be over-priced at $11 as they quickly failed.

Shouldn't be a problem. If they are charging you for something you do not have then just pay the internet charge when you get your monthly statement.
