Destroyed our Kitchen

Lowes #1665377
Lowe's hires subcontractors to do their installations. Some are good, others are not. It is always best to hire a guy on your own to do the work and you two can agree on where the cabinets, etc. come from and what kind, etc. Allowing a big box store like Lowe's to do everything is a recipe for problems. You can get a free consult with an attorney to see what you can do if the damage caused by Lowe's installers is worth your legal costs. One of life's lessons.

Wont give you your money back

Aspen Dental #1665373
You indicate you paid via a credit card. They have apparently said they would refund the money so wait a reasonable length of time and if nothing then dispute the charge with your credit card company. At least you did the smart thing and didn't pay with a debit card! Once you get your refund you might want to alert your dental insurance company of the fact that they apparently paid money for unacceptable dental products for you and that any monies they paid on your behalf should also be refunded to them. If you want good dentures and good dental work, find a dentist in private practice, unaffiliated with a chain dental mill.

Horrible customer service

Verizon #1664997
Not too sure the customer service at AT&T or Comcast is much better than Verizon from the complaints I have seen. However, if you have a contract and it outlines the terms of breaking such, then it is what it is and you either pay the cancellation charge or don't. Up to you. Being a customer for a number of years with any of these companies means nothing to them.

American Home Shield #1664994
Add up the total cost of your monthly payments to AHS over these past years plus any deductibles, etc. you had to pay. You should come to the conclusion that you have wasted alot of money over the years. Put some money aside each month, say the AHS payment you would pay and then when/if you have a problem that needs fixing, pay for it with the saved money---plus, you can pick your own local company to do the repairs instead of who-knows-who AHS would send. These warranty plans are really a waste of money.

United Healthcare #1663700
We hear you and commiserate but what you describe seems to be rather common nowadays. Your solution, of course is to not accept anyone who has UHC for insurance. Accepting or not various insurance plans is common in the health care field for the very reason you complain. The insurance companies and/or the government, ie., medicare, medicaid now set the payments to providers, not the providers themselves. You can bill all you want, but they pay what they want and that's it. My advice is to stop providing services, etc. to those with insurance that doesn't pay enough to meet your expenses.

Your mom has the right to see and have a copy of her medical records. You might want to file a complaint with your state's dental licensing board. Find the appropriate agency on your state's main webpage. Find her a dentist in private practice who can recommend the dental service(s) she needs and either do it himself or refer to a specialist for extractions, etc. And, of course you might want to spread the word about the treatment Aspen provided to your mother. As an aside, given her age, you might also want to have a legal and medical power of attorney for yourself to represent her in the coming years so you can make decisions for her if need be, and I assure you the odds are you will need to. Good luck.

They got the new card number because your card issuer allowed them to bill the new card even tho the old one was cancelled. Complain and dispute the charge with the card issuer and most probably just cancel the card entirely and find a new credit card issuer. As for Sirius, your complaint is a common one and a good reason to not subscribe to Sirius and give them a card number. You can pay an "invoice fee" as they call it and receive a paper bill and pay by check and when the renewal comes up, just don't pay the next year's billing amount. All in all, probably best to just stay away from Sirius to begin with.

Merrell #1657602
Merrell is now a part of Wolverine World Wide corporation and "The Company sources a majority of its footwear from numerous third-party manufacturers in the Asia Pacific region" according to a web search I did. This means your boots probably were manufactured in some foreign land and sold in the US. That about says it all, doesn't it about the presumed quality of their products. Take a look at the tag or info inside the boot and see if it says where made. Even if it says "made in USA" all that means is that the leather, etc. probably came from Asia of unknown quality and they slapped it all together here, thus the "made in USA" tag. Or, if they are really honest and it says made in some foreign land, next time you buy a pair of boots, find a brand still made in USA. There are a few, a very few.

See if your car insurance will cover the damage under the comprehensive insurance coverage you should have----we hope you have it, anyway. As for the loose cover, now you understand why it is imperative you verify, verify the lid is secure before you take the can from the paint counter. I always find the hammer they use to tap it down with and tap it down again myself. You must realize the employee who mixed the paint for you is working at Lowe's mixing paint for a reason, none of which involves much common sense. They should have verified the lid was secure before giving you the can, but that takes, well---common sense.
