Your product is worthless

Black and Decker #1701013
I checked the reviews on your machine at Amazon.com and some 23% of respondents are totally unsatisfied with it. Of course, some 42% give it a five star rating. I own two of the 20v string trimmers from B&D and they tend to last 2-3 years for me and then just fail to work for some reason or other. I have had good luck with the 20v lithium batteries, but even then, you get one whose life seems to be rather short and then refuse to fully charge or not charge at all. I also have a couple of the 20v blowers of theirs which do the job for me in the garage and pole barn. That being said, B&D products nowadays are cheaply-made and they either work well for a time or they start failing soon after purchase. As for your battery, those things can go bad quickly or soon after purchase. Seems like a quality control problem at the place of manufacture. B&D, I am sure doesn't make them but buys from a supplier who gets them from who-knows-where with unknown quality control. The main reason people buy B&D products is that they tend to be cheaper to buy than others---perhaps for a good reason, ie., cheaply-made and sooner, rather than later to break on you. I suspect B&D makes much more profit selling you a battery than they do selling you just the machine.

(414)246-8340 scam, harassing, con artist,rude

National Health Enrollment is a scam, of course and with many complaints about their robo-calling with rude employees, etc. Your best option is to turn off your phone or find out if and how you can block calls from the numbers they call you from, although they use many of them. Bottom line: remember, you or someone from your family initiated this nonsense when you called for info on health plans and made the mistake of giving your real name, address and phone number along with much personal info in order to find info on a potential health plan. In the future, never, ever start getting info or quotes using your real name or phone number. You can use a false name and phone, etc. to start off and with real ages, etc.----never anything specifically identifying you in order to get info or a quote. Then, close out your browser, dump your cache of cookies, history and other trackers and go back in using your real info if you like a plan and want to sign up. Using a "nom de plume" initially saves you from much scam calls if you end up not signing up.

Ah! I see you recognized the scam Kohl's has been playing. Their clothes are over-priced and the weekly coupons will sometimes bring the prices down to a reasonable level but if you go into a Kohl's and pay the sticker price you are foolish. Actually, even with a coupon or a discount, the prices are very high. Best to shop at stores when they have clearances, especially at end of seasons like Walmart, etc. Face it, most clothes now come from some foreign land regardless of the brand.

Dispute the charge with the card company. I assume you kept anything showing you sent the package back and/or the date returned and how and the location of where you sent it back. This is not an uncommon problem---either the receiving unit at Haband is terribly slow in logging in returns and it will eventually hit or they never did get it. However, this is not your problem. File the dispute with an explanation of what happened and go from there. Never pay for something you don't owe is the main point. This is why you should always pay for goods online with a credit and not a debit card. Good luck

Just like you need to save all receipts for credit and debit card purchases and just about everything else until you have verified and paid for them after receiving your monthly statements it is wise to save all receipts until you have actually used the product and verified it works, etc. It may actually be for the best, tho. Compared to what Meijer stores have become, Kroger is doing a great job in my area. At least they usually have adequate lanes open to take your money with negligible waits in line. After 30 years or so with Meijer, we now have switched to Kroger for their good prices; Friday and Saturday specials; and the adequate open checkout lanes. However, Kroger does have a problem with stocking, especially in the meat department. Perdue Tough chicken breast

Perdue Farms #1695928
The reason chickens are so large now is due to the massive doses of chemicals in their feed which promotes quick growth and antibiotics to hinder diseases, etc. Your best bet nowadays is to avoid all of the major brands like Tyson and Perdue and buy chicken and other meats from a local grocery store or meat market that sells a lesser-known brand. You might have to shop around and try these brands but eventually you will find a brand or two that actually tastes like chicken used to. Buying major brands from a big store is now for those who have never tasted good chicken or meat and probably wouldn't care anyway.

Selling faulty gift cards and not taking any responsibility for them

Walgreens #1695028
Bottom line with gift cards, no matter where you buy them: alot of people make a living out of using technology readily available to scan even locked up cards to get the code numbers which then then use or sell them to others. There is a large market for them. Best thing to do is simply not buy any and use your own credit---I say credit, not debit---card for purchases. Having and using a debit card is just a disaster waiting to happen as the money comes out of your bank immediately, unlike a credit card. Some stores, like Walgreen's apparently, understand the scams and theft going on with gift cards and thus disclaim any responsibility. Best to avoid these stores for all shopping, given that attitude.

Forget about any other brand unless you don't plan on keeping it for a number of years. JD makes a very reliable mower of all sizes and types and when you buy direct from a dealer you will be well-serviced if/when any problems occur. If you query Amazon regarding delivery problems, they admit that packages sometimes will say "delivered" but really won't be for a day or two---a perfectly reasonable method of delivery if you are a government agency, but complete nonsense if you have half a brain. You end up poking a knife into the plastic seal and cutting it out. As for design missteps, I bought a John Deere S240 last year---nice tractor---but they designed the gas tank in such a way that you cannot see nor even hear when the tank is full, resulting in over-filling it or adding some, pulling out the funnel, looking inside the tank as best you can, then re-inserting the funnel and pouring more, and over and over again. Pilot Flying J #1691075
I have been aware of Pilot's practice for a few years now and suspect that, instead of doing as most others do and put a temporary $1.00 charge on your account but charging an exorbitant amount, they do so because of the large quantity of fuel a large truck/tractor trailer can take and subsequent dollars due for it. A dollar temp charge just shows the account is open and theoretically good, but does nothing to tell Pilot that a fuel charge of a couple of hundred dollars will actually go thru. Upset me the first time this happened to me at a Pilot but common sense prevailed and Pilot is just protecting themselves from people who put hundreds of dollars of fuel in their tank, charge it and then it turns out the charge is denied for insufficient credit, etc. Now you know. If Pilot hired decent computer programmers they could change this and put a percentage of the total fuel you bought on as a temp charge instead of a charge of three times your amount as you stated. But, that would take an attitude change by Pilot management. Good luck on that. There are other gas stations out there.
