Animals allowed in Costco

Costco #1702540
Bringing animals into stores, restaurants and such is the new thing. If the guy holding the dog's leash is blind then not a problem. However, now people have what they call "support" animals and want to bring them everywhere. This is catering to those in society who are taking advantage of the laws the dufus legislators enact. Costco, and other businesses are afraid of violating some law in refusing to allow these animals into their stores, of course but that doesn't mean you have to shop at these stores.

Delivery Not Made

Amazon #1702160
Wait the three days and if still not delivered, try contacting Amazon again. If no help or they claim it has been delivered, file a dispute with your credit card issuer---you did use a credit and not a debit card, I hope. It is not your responsibility to verify delivery---it is the senders. They sent it and guaranteed delivery. And, if your dispute is denied, pay off the card except for this charge and don't pay for something you don't owe. Amazon is notorious for using unreliable shippers, usually the USPS but people keep trusting them---go figure.

Walmart #1701605
Apparently, Walmart has a problem with this type of stuff---vendors sell something at the Walmart website and when/if anything goes bad, Walmart refuses to help. Probably best to not buy anything from Walmart.com and, if you must buy online, go to Amazon.com which appears to be more helpful when problems arise with vendors. Amazon asserts more discipline with outside sellers whereas Walmart seemingly doesn't care. They are still counting on the name Walmart and if they lose a few customers, it matters not. Others will still come to be fleeced.

Hiding phone number

Sirius Xm Radio #1701598
Sirius XM is definitely not known for good customer service and they make it difficult to cancel their service by requiring you to call them on the phone instead of cancelling online at their website. And, they really want you to use your credit or debit card when subscribing as they trick you into automatic renewal and if you request to pay by invoice and check, they impose an "invoice fee." All in all, not nice. As for the non-working radio there must be a number to call listed in the information brochures or letter you got when you first subscribed. Look in the folder you made at the time labelled "Sirius XM" and where you keep all info and such about this----like you do with any and all recurring services, bills, etc. so you have the info available easily. Gotta be organized!

John Deere #1701594
What model of JD did you buy and where did you buy it? From a dealer or a big box store like Lowe's? If you had purchased it from a dealer and also the sunscreen he would have made good on what they sell. As for the quality of the tractor, yes they have been "cheapening" them for years now but the brand John Deere is still the best in the business and, if you buy direct from a dealer you will get satisfaction when anything goes wrong with it. You might try wearing a wide-brimmed hat like a "boonie hat" along with long sleeve shirts instead of putting a sun screen attachment on a nice-looking John Deere lawn tractor.

Painful mouth ulcers

Sensodyne #1701588
Many of the newer toothpaste products have ingredients that can bother some users. These products claim to protect and/or repair the tooth enamel, etc. Whenever you use a new product you need to immediately stop use if you even suspect it is causing a problem. Now you know not to buy that version of Sensodyne. The active ingredient in these sensitive toothpastes is potassium nitrate usually around 5% concentrate. Many cheaper brands contain this and are store brands, etc. and labeled for sensitive teeth. At this point, you might want to buy a tube of something like Tom's of Maine without fluoride and use while your mouth heals. That brand has many flavors and some come with fluoride, so pay attention to the box before you buy one. I say to get one without fluoride as you do not want any possibility of further inflammation

Spoiled "supposed to be fresh, sweet corn"

Kroger #1701583
A couple of observations and hints: 1. when a retail store has but one lane open with a long line of people with full carts and the self-serve registers full you need to push your cart off to the side and walk out. They will eventually find the cart and put the stuff back on the shelves---unless the ice cream and frozen stuff has defrosted. If so, that's their penance for not having enough lanes open. 2. a helpful hint on buying most anything is to read the label or packaging to determine if the product is not approaching or has passed the "best by" or "expiration date" listed somewhere. Remember, the guys that stock the shelves always are told to put the soon to be outdated stuff in front. You need to look in the back or on the bottom of the shelves for the newer stuff. Your complaint about the lack of lanes at Kroger is spot-on, however and seems to be a trend with other stores as well---Meijer stores in my area.

You can contact one of the many attorneys advertising on local TV stations but be careful and make sure you don't give them any money up front to represent you with SSA. You might also try this: contact your local congressman who can file what's called a "congressional" with SSA asking for more info and help on your particular case. Federal agencies treat these congressional inquiries seriously and you might get some answers, etc. thru the congressman's help. I would try this option before anything else.

Your product is worthless

Black and Decker #1701013
I checked the reviews on your machine at Amazon.com and some 23% of respondents are totally unsatisfied with it. Of course, some 42% give it a five star rating. I own two of the 20v string trimmers from B&D and they tend to last 2-3 years for me and then just fail to work for some reason or other. I have had good luck with the 20v lithium batteries, but even then, you get one whose life seems to be rather short and then refuse to fully charge or not charge at all. I also have a couple of the 20v blowers of theirs which do the job for me in the garage and pole barn. That being said, B&D products nowadays are cheaply-made and they either work well for a time or they start failing soon after purchase. As for your battery, those things can go bad quickly or soon after purchase. Seems like a quality control problem at the place of manufacture. B&D, I am sure doesn't make them but buys from a supplier who gets them from who-knows-where with unknown quality control. The main reason people buy B&D products is that they tend to be cheaper to buy than others---perhaps for a good reason, ie., cheaply-made and sooner, rather than later to break on you. I suspect B&D makes much more profit selling you a battery than they do selling you just the machine.

Bottom line: remember, you or someone from your family initiated this nonsense when you called for info on health plans and made the mistake of giving your real name, address and phone number along with much personal info in order to find info on a potential health plan. In the future, never, ever start getting info or quotes using your real name or phone number. You can use a false name and phone, etc. to start off and with real ages, etc.----never anything specifically identifying you in order to get info or a quote. Then, close out your browser, dump your cache of cookies, history and other trackers and go back in using your real info if you like a plan and want to sign up. Using a "nom de plume" initially saves you from much scam calls if you end up not signing up.

Bottom line with gift cards, no matter where you buy them: alot of people make a living out of using technology readily available to scan even locked up cards to get the code numbers which then then use or sell them to others. There is a large market for them. Best thing to do is simply not buy any and use your own credit---I say credit, not debit---card for purchases. Having and using a debit card is just a disaster waiting to happen as the money comes out of your bank immediately, unlike a credit card.
