i have no idea how to give you any further details about this crime!

Original review Oct 04, 2018
Back In April I called them thinking it was my web page company Yodle. I was mislead to believe they were part of them and was told I had to create a page, add more pics things like that they say.

Now fast forward to now, October I get a e mail stating my CC info won't work! Ha because there had been fraudulent activity several months back, my bank thank God , shut down the card and now I get this strange E mail saying I owe them money! I am shocked because I did'nt even know I had paid them ONE CENT in the first place. So after I call them, of course they get *** with me telling me how that's there policy is to let you go 2 months before they say anything, RUNNING UP THE FAKE BILL of course.

Demanding almost 1000.00 dollars!! You can imagine my shock. They admitted they do NOT send receipts for payments, NO SHOCKER THERE, monthly, Nor do they help you set up anything when I supposedly set up this fake account and made my own budget they say I did! Now I am not a IT guy, nor am I some expert on this and feel I was lied to, mislead ,and quite simply, ripped off by these cons!

I have no recollection of speaking with them, If I did It was meant to be with my web company Yodle, not them but I feel they used that as a way to mislead me into thinking I was talking to my web company and that I had to set up this page for my adds to be better ranked with Google! Again they lied steal and they admitted, they have do not have my signature on one document!

But they don't have to they say! Somehow we as business's must be able to stop this can't we?

I agree. They hold misleading information and make it impossible for you to have it removed.

Absolutely unprofessional conduct. They should not be operating!

Report Yelp to your local federal bureau of investigation office as an internet scam. 6 complaints is enough to start an investigation.

Send a certified return receipt letter demanding that Yelp remove your page from their website because Yelp does not allow you to delete your own page. Your Yelp page represents your business and you should have a full say as to WHERE your business info is displayed. As a last resort get a lawyer to force Yelp to remove your page. Once your page is removed, Yelp can no longer harm your business.

Also send a complaint about Yelp to your state's attorney general's office.

With enough complaints to the right places, Yelp will stop victimizing hard working people. We all have Power.

Yelp is crooks, they say they give you a "FREE" listing and bill you once they have your credit card. I registered with them and the next day I spoke to them and canceled because they called me and try to get me to advertise for around 600.

a month, like NO WAY, they said they canceled the account and the rent thing I got a bill for around $35. saying that a fee for some hits on the site, I had a talk with them again with them we both looked at the backend and turn off everything, they said for the trouble they would give me $300. in free advertising and there would be no charge and the account would be removed. They never did, they sent me a bill for $250.

again, I blocked them from using my credit card. They still tried to get funds form my card but cannot. You cannot delete the account it fraud.

When the account was set up a male from the company set it up with me knowledge saying he would set it up for me, I HAVE ALL THE CONVERSATION AND EMAILS I EVEN HAVE A VOICE RECORDING and yes I told them I was recording the convo. This company Yelp is SCAMMERS.

This company is worst than the scammers working in India. My wife started a women owned small Yogurt shop 4 years ago at the age of 66.

In February she was fast talked into some BS ad program. The damage they did to her bank account is as follows: 2/3 $138.30, on 3/2 they took $570.00, and on 4/2 $570.00. So far that's $1,278.00! We have reach out and they offered her a $280.00 credit.

As a small struggling business getting ripped off especially while trying to keep the doors open is horrible. I'm not going to allow Yelp to get away with this. I have a Masters in Journalism and the time to craft a story/press release and a great media list. I'm confident as I expose Yelp's underhanded business practices that quite a few of my media friends will run my piece.

I'm also sure that when the story circulates that Yelp will probably see nice revenue hit that will be significantly a lot more than the $1,278.00 they took from her bank account! .

Morale of this is David is about to load his sling shot for Goliath. Stay tuned.

Yelp is a scam. Need not say anymore, as everyone that has replied is saying the same thing we experienced.

These idiots sitting in front of a computer wouldn't know how to earn an honest income if the internet went down. Give them a hammer or a shovel and they would probably *** themselves!

Same happened to me! I did speak to a rep that was so promising about how I wouldn’t get charged anything more than the fee promo amount..

which was 300... I got charged $360 and when I called to resolve this issue they said I was at fault. YELP SUCKS!

They are VERY deceptive! Don’t do it!!!

Almost the same thing happened to me. A representative from yelp called me to try advertise with them, which I resisted many times.

This time he said he will give me a $300 worth of advertisement so he can show me how my business will grow. I told him I’m a very small business, I’m the cook, the cashier and everything (my kids help when they can), so I can not afford to spend that much. He promised me he will cancel it himself in a month if I only try it....that was September, when he called me back I had customers and I quickly told him, I did not see any change with my business and he said he will explain it for me when I have time. In the beginning of November, I got an email asking my for my account information and I have a balance of $450.

I called the number and they told me since I did not cancel, they have been running my ad for the past month. I told them the sales guy was supposed to suspend it when the promotion ended. They argued with me and I told the it was a ripoff, I demanded to speak with the sales person. When I called him (Nik) with the number he gave me (408) 327-**** which does not work.

Now the email me to resolve the bill. I told them, when Nick called me, there was a disclaimer that our conversation is been recorded, I asked to find that conversation and listen to it, that will vindicate me. No, I got another email saying I was responsible for stopping the ad and they ask me for email stating that I canceled.

It’s a shakedown of the mom and pop business to fill their big pocket. It’s very sad and unfair what they do to small business like mine.
