George Washington University Hospital - MALPRACTICE

I have been a client of the neurology clinic for a coupe years. It took so long because I had a problem with the first doctor who REFUSED to order an X-ray of my head to corroborate/verify the strange feature in the left occipital area of my skull that was shown on an X-ray from the Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore that I visited ten years ago when I was living in Boulder Colorado. I had to spend a great deal of struggle to get a change of doctor to deal with the cause of my chronic headache, and was finally assigned a neurologist named Amanda Tinsley, who claimed to be the DIRECTOR of the "headache division" though it is Dr. Roth rock who is the vice-chairman of the Neurology Department and it did not make sense that being in the SAME division as I was told they were that HE would be UNDER HER supervision. Anyway, without making a LONG story unnecessarily longer, I will confine my experience to her. Other than switching the medication I had been prescribed for chronic headaches and migraines called Sunaptripan which she told me is known to cause cardiac problems DESPITE being Dr. Rothrock's PREFERRED medication for headaches and ordering an EEG in which she claimed she found nothing wrong, the only other thing she did was order a set of X-rays (after the previous doctor had ordered an MRI and a Catscan and found nothing) to determine if the cause of the problem I was complaining of could be found. This was done in the radiology clinic of the GWU Medical Center. Because the discomfort is ONLY on the LEFT side of my head and based in the rear lower LEFT area from which it radiates through the LEFT hemisphere, there were NO right side views made; only A/P, P/A, and a rear three-quarter left lateral image. It was the last perspective X-ray image that showed a disturbingly strange erosion or disintegration of the skull bone in the lower LEFT base of the skull! It looked as I described it to Dr. Tinsley like someone had LITERALLY taken a bite out of my skull and chewed up the pieces leaving crumbs or remnants in the otherwise empty area! Even what resembled the shape of teeth marks along the outer edge could be seen!! Of course I did not have someone take a bit out of my skull BUT the area of the anomaly, the origin or nature of which Dr. Tinsley either could not OR would not explain to me, was EXACTLY in the spot of the origin of the chronic neuralgic ache and unpleasant vibration I have been experiencing for the past decade and that incapacitates me to the extent I need to be on Social Security Disability Compensation. I have both a photocopy of a NORMAL skull X-ray of exactly the SAME perspective and side of a skull taken from a medical textbook and a printout of my computer-generated X-ray and the photocopy of excellent clarity looks NOTHING like mine because the rear of the textbook photo skull is solidly intact. I have also seen other X-rays of NORMAL skulls WITHOUT any technological OR physiological defect in either image or skull and they also look the same and DIFFERENT from mine!! I had never had a skull X-ray made of my head when I didn't have a head problem because of course there would be no reason to do so so I can't claim I didn't have the strange defect in the past PRIOR to the onset of the neuralgic problem, BUT, when I requested Dr. Tinsley to order a RIGHT three-quarter (oblique) lateral image made for corroboration of whether this was an abnormal effect of whatever was causing the bad sensations or just a bizarrely natural feature of my skull, she expressed a peculiar reluctance to do so, stating it was not protocol for just one X-ray to be done without doing a series of them. When I convinced her of the difference in the two comparative skull images I had, she agreed to confer with the chief radiologist about making an exception. The next time I saw her at the clinic she told me she had ORDERED the requested X-ray view, BUT, when I went down to the radiology department to have it done, I found it ODD that THIS time (unlike the first) there was a senior radiology staff member present who was NOT acting like one of the technicians and so who I assumed was the chief radiologist supervising the procedure. But THAT was only the FIRST ODDITY of the entire incident. The radiologists proceeded to make X-rays of EVERY OTHER angle of my head EXCEPT of course the LEFT rear oblique view which had already been done satisfactorily, an UNnecessary direct left lateral view, AND the RIGHT rear oblique view that I had requested and been PROMISED by the attending neurologist Amanda Tinsley she had ordered!! They did a DIRECT RIGHT LATERAL view instead and then attempted to DECEIVE me that THAT was the right rear oblique view which from the details of the mid-line cranial ridge and the ocular socket I could clearly see it was NOT, and THEN CONTRADICTORILY claiming there was NOT an order in the protocol for the image I had been PROMISED would be made!! Either "Dr." Tinsley had LIED to me OR the radiologists were LYING to me UNless they were BOTH LYING as part of some "COVER-UP". The next appointment I had with Tinsley she did the SAME thing they had done, CONTRADICTING herself with the VERY SAME excuses and when those didn't "work", brazenly stating that she "WOULD NOT order it because it was UNnecessary" and she "didn't want" me "exposed to EXCESS radiation"!! AS IF I would have been exposed to any more radiation than I would have had getting a set of dental X-rays made AND notwithstanding the FACT that I HAD BEEN exposed to EXCESS radiation by getting X-rays done of MORE perspectives than the SINGLE ONE I had requested for corroboration of the prior one! If THIS isn't perposeful DUPLICITY (literally!) then it is downright "professional" INCOMPETENCE of a magnitude I have NEVER encountered anywhere before with doctors!! I expressed my profound disappointment with Tinsley as far as I could without "insultingly"(?) and bluntly calling her an OUTRIGHT LIAR and responded by requesting a change of neurologist (again). I was told by staff this was "impossible" without HER permission which was ridiculously UNlikely, so I then attempted to speak with the director of the neurology department. I first met with Chiezda Washington, the "executive coordinator" as she described herself, who promised she would speak with the department chairmen and could arrange the change through them. She NEVER did!! I went back after not getting any response from her for a week or two and THIS time she displayed a VERY different attitude, as if she didn't know what I was talking about and had never promised to contact me. INSTEAD, she now told me it "WAS NOT" HER "area of responsibility" and so she referred me to Marcus Christian, the "practice manager" in the Department of NEUROSURGERY Office! I (again) explained the entire situation and stated that IF I was going to continue as a neurology client with GWU medical center it was NOT going to be with Tinsley. He too ACTED very concerned and told me the SAME thing--- he would discuss the matter with the two chairpersons to arrange the switch and contact me the following week. AGAIN, it did NOT happen, and I was beginning to get suspicious whether it was THIS difficult for every patient to get such a request granted even after they were "treated" in the manner I had been! The next time I went to the medical center Mr. Christian wasn't available so I met with Adrien Saks, the "practice group administrator", who claimed to be Christian's superior. I didn't bother telling him the whole story but summed it up as BREACH OF TRUST by doctor. He told he would check with Christian to find out more as well as speak with the chairmen about the change request. It took several weeks and several visits to find out from him that "it was NOT the policy of THAT particular clinic to switch doctors for clients due to there being only two headache specialists and since they cooperated with each other dealing with one was basically the same as dealing with the other, and when I requested meeting with the director of the medical center itself he claimed it DIDN'T HAVE ONE and all the departments acted autonomously!! I had NEVER heard of a medical center operating THIS way before! He even went so far as to suggest I go to a DIFFERENT one, which of course after the patient advocacy experience I will describe I AM GOING TO!

E And G Group - DON'T RENT FROM THEM

I have complained as a tenant before about this Company and even though THOSE problems were NOT effectively resolved, there are MORE. Since last year I have had a CONTINUING problem with moisture saturation in the walls of the unit. It began in the kitchen exterior facing wall next to the dilapidated porch roof. THAT has since been replaced BUT the problem with my wall CONTINUES. The paint bulges out in spots. When the maintenance man came up at the beginning of last year to fix it, he had trouble with it having to REPEATEDLY scrape off the paint he applied and spray something which WASN'T water sealant (which he claimed he DIDN'T have) on the plaster. Occasionally even the plaster would start BULGING and he had to keep REapplying THAT as well. Finally, for some reason after REPEATED attempts, he succeeded in ridding the wall of the bulges and applying a stable coat of paint. The sequel to this is that last summer I decided to paint the apartment with white SEM-GLOSS latex INSTEAD OF the flat latex the apartments come with. I did this because I have chronic respiratory allergy problems that are NOT being effectively dealt with by medications. I cannot afford allergy injections so I bought an expensively powerful humidifier supposed to be the best on the market to use in the apartment every night. SO FAR it is STILL in the box because the repainting hasn't been finished due to the SAME bulging and peeling paint problem with the semi-gloss I applied!! I chose the semi-gloss because UNlike the "flat" type, the smooth sheen of it is somewhat moisture and dirt resistant. NOT waterproof but almost as good. The problem is I have been HELD UP for almost a YEAR with having the problem in the kitchen and the walk-in closet of the bathroom. I would begin painting and the paint would begin to bulge in certain areas before AND after it dried and I would scrape it off to repaint it only to shear off big sheets of the semi-gloss layer--- sometimes down to the VERY PLASTER of the wall! IF I didn't do that then the bugles would begin PEELING OPEN themselves!! The manager, Chanelle Samuels, has blamed the problem ON ME because I stuffed the bathroom ventilator with a rag so in the menatime I could steam myself in a "shower sauna" as long as necessary like a big humidifier. BUT the bathroom walls and ceiling DON'T have the bulging paint/plaster problem that those of the adjacent closet do!! And THIS DOESN'T explain WHY it is happening in the kitchen! It is clearly coming from moisture pockets IN the wall due to an OUTSIDE source because there are yellowish moisture droplets on the overhang above the corner kitchen area window and in the corner of the adjacent window overhang. They are NOWHERE else. When I informed "management" of this problem about the end of last year, I was told that painting and plastering would NO LONGER be done by the maintenance staff but by OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS and TENANTS would be CHARGED FOR IT!! Naturally, this was UNsatisfactory so because there were OTHER maintenance defects such as the clogged water drain in the back and the busted out glass door with the electromagnetic lock which DOESN'T always lock because it is so misaligned, I filed a case with the tenancy conditions court here in DC. When Chanelle Samuels found out that I was taking her Company to court, she hired a THIRD-RATE contractor crew of F.H. Star "Renovation" Services Inc. that HARDLY SPOKE a word of English, to come paint the damaged areas. They did a LOUSY job, leaving AS MANY paint BULGES AND even WATER BUBBLES in the paint on the wall as there were BEFORE! BUT, at least I DIDN'T create water bubbles in the paint when I painted!! The hearing earlier this month resulted in the Court-ordered inspector coming out to look at the problems. She cited the door but NOT the drain, and as far as my apartment she cited the walls and ceiling paint problem BUT DIDN'T ascribe it to "management's" denial of repairing it. She DID bother citing the paint droppings on the floor from my attempts to paint the kitchen as a "TENANT VIOLATION" but THAT was NOT an issue because I was going to have that cleaned up. It had NOTHING to do with the reason for MY initiating the Court complaint! While she bothered to mention that "SEMI-GLOSS" paint SHOULD be used, she stated NOTHING about FIRST applying a water-proof sealant spray and/or waterproof plaster. When the SAME crew came back they DID use semi-gloss paint this time BUT NOT the SAME color as that of the main walls, according to "manager's order"!! STUPIDLY, she apparently thinks that because the bathroom is painted in a slightly darker color than the rest of the unit (a light beige) and its walls and ceiling DON'T bulge from any moisture pockets, the COLOR is the reason for it and NOT the quality of the paint!! So the kitchen of the studio apartment is a DIFFERENT color from the rest of the area and so is the walk-in closet. BUT they DIDN'T bother repainting the ceiling with it!! Anyway, they left it with NOT ONLY paint BULGES STILL in it (though NOT bubbles this time) AND WRINKLES!! I'm NOT touching anything but reserving it for the next Court hearing on March 17th. I have invited the inspector via email to come over and look at it but she hasn't responded. I was wise enough to have the assistant manager come up the SAME day the crew did the "job" to video it JUST AS they had left it so NOTHING could be blamed on me. On top of THIS, though I haven't received the bill yet and hopefully won't, she claimed that I WOULD BE BILLED for this second visit because the previous condition was MY "fault"!! UNbelievable!! The ONLY thing I could HONESTLY admit to, which they DIDN'T FIX either time, was ACCIDENTALLY creating *** in the main room dividing wall on the opposite side from the kitchen when I noticed a moisture bulge forming there behind my bed. The kitchen side of the wall had been bulging and peeling when I had painted it. I scraped the small bulge off the wall thinking I would simply repaint it and ended up digging into the wall material itself because it was so moist!! It has since dried out and there wasn't any indication of moisture in it when the inspector came and checked it. In the meantime, I am living with the residence in a state of upheaval from the furniture I had to more around to get the painting done and which has to be REDONE yet AGAIN and still cleaned off the floor and carpet!! FINALLY, as if ALL THIS is not bad enough, I found out last night that in this long ongoing series of covert entries of my apartment EVEN WITH a camera in the hallway, someone apparently with a DUPLICATE set of keys got in and SOMEHOW loosened all the blind straps of the window blinds of one set. I don't know HOW they did because there NEITHER the straps themselves NOR the stringholder threaded through them were cut, but I could PULL OUT each and every one of them from the string loops!!

I don't know WHY there is the three-asterisk gap in the second to last paragraph because I DID NOT put that in! I wrote the full comment that "The ONLY thing I could HONESTLY admit to, which they DIDN'T fix either time, was ACCIDENTALLY creating *** in the main dividing room wall on the opposite side from the kitchen when I noticed a moisture bulge forming there behind my bed." WHY was part of that sentence CENSORED?! This kind of thing does NOT create trust in your website!

Target - BEWARE

I am a Target credit card account customer. Usually all I have had problems with Target Corporation about has been obstructions to accessing my online account information because of some technical "glitches" NOT recognizing the username and password I have registered with and entered. THAT is AGAIN happening and there is NO way for me to have it dealt with EXCEPT by REPEATEDLY changing them, which I am sick and tired of doing and refuse to anymore! I am getting the INCREASING impression it is DELIBERATE and IF I had not chosen to continue getting paper billing forms and notices I would have NO way to access my account information for payments!! BUT apparently THAT is NOT enough problem. In my latest billing statement I have a situation that I have NEVER dealt with before. The dating sequence of the first FOURTEEN LINES is out of order. The billing period dates are supposed to regress from the latest, in this case January 1, to the oldest, December 1. INSTEAD, it begins with January 1 UP TO January 5 and THEN proceeds from DECEMBER 7, which SHOULD BE AFTER the first five dates of that month INSTEAD of JANUARY, back to DECEMBER 28!! The sequence is WRONG! And when I noticed that I didn't have receipts (which I keep all of for the monthly purchases reviews I do) for some of the dates and purchase amounts, I called the billing department and the person I spoke to mentioned dates for which there were NO amounts shown as owed and I mentioned dates and purchase amounts on the paper that she COULDN'T FIND (so she told me) in the computer record she was looking at. Though I am not going to exhibit my account info online, I have the complaint verification from the DC Attorney-General that I submitted the matter to.

E And G Group - DON'T RENT FROM THEM

The last time I submitted a complaint about this Company was back in June of the previous decade. Since that time I have had a developing problem with the property manager of the apartment building I reside in, Chanelle Samuels. The reason for the problem is that the building has a masonry moisture saturation condition that has been causing the PLASTER as well as the paint in my apartment unit to BULGE OUT and start peeling!! The building is three-quarters of a century old so the problem is understandable despite management having had the roof and the porch roof next to my unit "renovated". BUT, she is NOT taking effective steps to SEAL the interior walls of my unit by hiring a contractor that will deal with it. Originally the "maintenance" employee (who I have complained about in my first message) used to deal with plastering and painting issues but "management" has since changed the policy so that they now hire contractors and CHARGE THE TENANTS for the cost!! The third-rate foreign labor crew who hardly speak English (naturally) of the F. H. Star "Renovation" Services Company have CONSISTENTLY done a SHODDY job of painting over the bulges, creating paint bubbles with water in the brushes AND MORE paint bulges from evaporation of the wall moisture!! They are NOT applying a waterproof sealant spray and plaster AS NEEDED to prevent the problem so it KEEPS RECURRING!! The "manager" has blamed ME for creating the bulges, claiming that I don't know "how to paint" and shouldn't have initiated repainting the apartment myself. The reason I had done that was because it was painted in a FLAT latex which EASILY ABSORBS moisture and peels accordingly. Since I have chronic respiratory allergies I need to use a humidifier to help me breathe because the medications I have tried and been prescribed aren't working. I thought that to PREVENT this VERY problem situation I would repaint the apartment myself in a semi-gloss paint, which is somewhat water and dirt resistant. Even though the problem had occurred BEFORE I had ever begun to do this, it WORSENED as the bulges started SPREADING from the exterior facing kitchen wall to the nearby bathroom closet. IRONICALLY though, as I told management, despite that I steam myself in the shower like a "sauna" for an hour on a frequent but not daily basis, the problem is NOT occurring in the bathroom but in the adjacent walk-in closet walls and ceiling!! It is NOT happening in other walls of the unit such as those next to the closet, except for the kitchen/main room dividing wall where a moisture stain in the kitchen above the sink counter apparently seeped through and created a bulge on the other side above my bed. I thought I could simply scrape it off but not only did I take off more paint than that of the bulge it was so soft and moist I accidentally dug a deep hole into the wall material; which is some kind of unidentifiable grainy dark stuff. "Management" hired this F.H. Star Renovation Company to come and replaster and repaint the rooms but they have NOT stopped the problem of the bulging AND wrinkling paint and it is STILL in that condition. They came once before and because they created an extensive peeling situation of the bulges breaking apart they had to come again after I resorted to a tenancy court mandate. "Management" is claiming I will be billed for this second visit as being due to "MY" fault!! I of course will refuse to pay and contest it in Court. The court-ordered inspector had come out before this second visit and stated she did not find moisture in the walls but CLEARLY moisture was in some way responsible. She suggested in her report that they use semi-gloss pint THIS time which they DIDN'T do before but it is STILL happening because they DIDN'T apply waterproof sealant and plaster first. I even had to keep pointing out to them the BULGING PLASTER just after they put it on!

E And G Group - ROTTEN RESIDENTIAL "MANAGEMENT" AND "MAINTENANCE"

I have lived in a rental apartment building for the past six years in Washington DC. During that time the premises has gone through three different management Companies. This latest one, E & G Group Management is just AS BAD as the others! Though the Company can't be blamed for the third-rate recent "renovation" job of the property that the ownership Company, Petra Developers Inc. contracted for two years ago and NEVER brought to completion according to the Company's own maintenance employee, IT IS responsible for everything else. The problems I have had with E & G are as follows: The single "maintenance" employee of the premises is DILATORY in beginning repair jobs AND in completing them. This would be excusable IF he was the only maintenance worker in a large building or complex, but this is ONLY ONE building with only forty units in it. Numerous times he has promised to come to my apartment to fix a problem and DELAYED coming for a week or more. If he agrees to a day he will come, he will usually come the next day OR several days after. He also interrupts his work in the unit numerous times to go elsewhere and NOT "on call". It took him several weeks to simply replaster and repaint several spots in my apartment of bulging plaster and paint due to moisture. He didn't understand the problem mechanism and had NO waterproof sealant spray to use first on the areas, instead using some other type of spray which, admittedly, worked. Nonetheless, because of his "distractiveness" his plastering job was sometimes rough and he had NO sandpaper or other abrasive to smooth it with! The paint he then applied would also often keep "bubbling" because he did not apply the spray both before AND after daubing on the plaster!! So HALF the time he worked in my unit over the course of several weeks was merely because of UNnecessary REPETITIOUSNESS. Because this is an old building apparently prone to moisture problems due to outworn plumbing and eroded/weathered exterior walls, the inner walls experience this effect. When my request to have the entire apartment REpainted in semi-gloss latex which has a good, strong finish that wards off dirt, dust, and stains and keeps out humidity was DENIED by management, I had to repaint it MYSELF; spending several hundred dollars to do so! The more serious problem with the two staff personnel of this Company is (LACK OF) SECURITY and DECEPTION. BOTH the female "manager" and the "maintenance" man consistently engage in lies and tricks against the tenants! Recently we were told that the old model laundry machines in the laundry room were being replaced because the manager "discovered" E & G Group didn't have a contract with the provider Company, CSCSW Service Works, and so was "canceling" service and getting "newer, better" model machines. When they were installed this past Monday I found out that NOT ONLY was it the SAME Company as before providing them, BUT the machines WEREN'T all that good! The dryers work as well but most have crud in the barrels and look AS eroded as the "older"ones! BUT the washers DO NOT provide the steaming hot water for a "hot" wash that the older DID. Now when you press the button for a "hot" wash you get AT BEST a WARM one. I don't know how bad the "warm" water selection is and don't bother trying it. The "manager" also "discovered" as I was told by the "maintenance" guy that they didn't have a contract with the waste recycling Company that leased the recycling bin/dumpster and so that was removed and all there is now is a recycling push-wheel container like a trash can! Apparently she doesn't consider recycling important. Those tenants who do have to pile their bags of recycling waste up around the can next to the trash dumpster, encouraging the rats to get into them. A couple weeks ago I had trouble even entering the laundry room. They had switched the lock from key to electronic tab, which at first worked well. Then, for some "mysterious" reason, the lock started "sticking" the door shut if you let it close all the way. I reported this to the "maintenance" man and he told me he was aware of it and the electronic lock technicians were coming up to fix it that week. He STILL had the handle key though to unlock it and opened it for me. He then jiggled around with it and SEEMED to have fixed it because when I went out several times and closed the door behind me I was able to open it again. BUT, after he left for the day I had gone down one more time and when I closed the door, leaving a load in the washer, I COULDN''T open it again to get back in! I had to leave the load in the washer overnight and when I went back again the next morning of the day the technicians were supposed to come, I tried the lock again before telling him. I still couldn't get in. I tried it again later after he had arrived for work and I got in! After I had put my load in the dryer i came back for it and couldn't get in. I went to tell him and he came and opened it for me, DENYING that he had opened it that morning DESPITE the presence of video surveillance cameras monitoring the laundry room which would have recorded his actions, as well as the fact that it was otherwise IMpossible at that time to unlock the door EXCEPT with the handle key and HE was the ONLY ONE who had it!! When the electronic lock techs arrived later that day they DENIED that they were there to fix THAT lock but to work on others. Nevertheless one of them examined it and concluded the problem wasn't with the lock but with allowing the door to shut too fast. He suggested "maintenance" slow down the door by adjusting the closing rod at the top. The "maintenance" man agreed to do this that Friday because the door was shut stuck again! INSTEAD, he LET IT STAY THAT WAY throughout the weekend (the BUSIEST time for doing laundry!) and didn't "fix" the door until Monday! As it turns out, I discovered through my own examination that the "problem" was neither with the door OR the lock but that IF the handle bolt was allowed to "catch" in the magnetic lock switch it would NOT pull back and open by use of the electronic method. All the "maintenance" man had to do was keep the handle boltlock UNlocked or set in the door and the electromagnetic lock would go into effect and open when worked. In other words, SOMEBODY was "perping" and jiggling with the manual lock so as to void use of the electromagnetic lock!! And it's the SAME SOMEBODY who doesn't care any more than the manager that the front entrance door of the building with its own electromagnetic lock was tampered with and nearly pried off its hinges a YEAR AGO and jolted out of alignment so that it STILL doesn't completely close and so sometimes DOESN'T always lock!! But the MOST serious security problem concerns MY OWN apartment unit! The place is not in a good neighborhood, as in fact is MOST of DC believe it or not, and my residence has been subject to, or "targeted" if you will, throughout most of the past six years for VANDALISM by surreptitious entry. In other words, NOT "breaking and entering" but SOMEONE having a DUPLICATE SET of keys for the two door locks, as maintenance is required to have for emergencies. I have been made aware of this by theft of my possessions as well as damage to them and the apartment. Nothing of value is ever stolen so the culprit only wants to make me aware that he can get in anytime he wants without my knowing it and with impunity! For a year since it took over the premises, I have been pestering this "management" Company, as well as the owner of the property, to have a video surveillance camera installed in the lobby to monitor the hallway of my unit door. They FINALLY, for some "mysterious" reason agreed to have one installed earlier this year. Being semi-foolishly optimistic I HOPED that would solve the problem, and for a few months it seemed to. BUT then the beginning of this month of June the culprit struck AGAIN, as I found the next day when I woke up after returning from a twelve-hour hospital visit. A can of shoe paste I had left on my desktable with other items I had purchased at the same time and also left there was MISSING! The other things remained and I DOUBT someone was seriously desperate enough to need a tin of brown shoe paste so as to have to steal it, and from a residence!! This occurred on a Friday and I had to wait until Monday to report the incident to the "manager". I requested her, as I thought was to be expected I would do IN CASE such an incident ever occurred under the eye of the camera, to review the video recording footage for that date and the time in question that I was gone. She REFUSED, telling me she didn't have time to "sit there and watch twelve hours of video footage for a can of shoe polish"! Then she advised me to call the police myself, which I did so they could come view the video evidence. The problem is they DELAYED coming to investigate for an ENTIRE WEEK, during which time the minutes of the incident were excised or deleted because I have been told they didn't see anything criminal happening!! Apparently the "manager's" indifference (she also claimed she saw "nothing" suspicious in the video) gave the culprit courage because it happened AGAIN a few days later that same week! But this time I was gone in the evening AFTER business hours when the "management/maintenance" office was closed. All the culprit did as i found when I returned that night was move a few things in my refrigerator. AGAIN, just "letting me know" they could get in and get away with it!! EITHER way, the "MAINTENANCE MAN" Anthony Stukes has to be responsible for it; because IF HE is NOT the one getting in with the DUPLICATE SET of keys which he "maintains", then HE GAVE them ( OR a DUPLICATE set of the DUPLICATES) to another TENANT who did!! THIS IS NOT AN IDLE OR MALICIOUS ACCUSATION!! I have WITNESSED such an act by him in the customary practice of this "staff"---- the "manager" will distribute Notices around to the tenants stating a date and time that a visiting service provider such as the exterminator will come around to the units so they can be prepared to be home. BUT, then the provider will NOT COME THAT day but ANOTHER day when the tenants aren't expecting it and so may not be home. So I have seen in such instances the "maintenance" man open the apartment door (after knocking of course and getting no response) usng his DUPLICATE set of keys to let the service person in!! THIS IS ILLEGAL ENTRY AND TRESPASS WITHOUT GIVING DUE AND CORRECT NOTICE!! The "manager" Chanelle Samuels will simply say that she "REissued" the Notice with the correct date, but of course THAT'S just an excuse because NOBODY I talk to claims to have gotten it and I sure didn't several times; though I fortunately happened to be home at the time. And I am NOT the ONLY one having reported MISSING items! ALL reports of such activity to Corporate management and the ownership company get IGNORED!! This is NOT ONLY IN competent proprietary operation, it's CRIMINAL!!

Pertaining to the incident of the management and the police claiming they "DIDN'T SEE" any evidence of someone entering my apartment during the May 31st absence from my residence, today I requested of the manager the contact information of the Company that installed the video surveillance system at the premises. At first she seemed reluctant because she has given DIFFERENT statements about viewing the video recording for that date and time: that she "DIDN'T have the time to sit and view ALL the hours in question; that it WASN'T her job to view the video "security" footage so she'd leave that to the police; AND that she DID view it and DIDN'T see anything suspicious in it!!!

But THIS is a manager that I also reported THEFT of my laundry FROM THE WASHER in the laundry room while staff was on-site to and she said she would review the camera footage. When I asked her later if she had seen who did it she told me she couldn't tell me OR do anything about it and that I should "call the police".

Since there was a DELAY of an ENTIRE WEEK since the latest theft incident of the detectives arriving to view the video recording AND the "manager" was CONSPICUOUSLY ABSENT for SEVERAL DAYS that week, I am inquiring of the Kastle Video Systems Company that installed the cameras whether video recording footage could be DELETED OR whether (if it has a time label) it can be FROZEN so that it STOPS monitoring a scene and then resume doing so WITHOUT interrupting the timing sequence. I'll follow up with their response about it BUT it will NOT excuse the manager from suspiciously suggesting every time I mention the incident to her that I might have simply "lost" or "misplaced" what was stolen and don't have a clear memory of it!
