Aeg - Product and service not fit for use
I purchased an AEG 9 kg washing machine in Nov 17. I was very specific about my needs in a new washing machine. I was promised a 3 year warranty and 24 hour service turnaround The washing machine is not flexible the shortest 9kg wash is 2 hours, there is a 5kg wash for 20 minutes and another for 60 mins but will not take 2 king size sheets or bath sheets which means that I have to do 2 loads. It will not spin them dry properly. If I use the 9 kg I can only wash 1 sheet at a time but still will not spin dry properly. machine has a separate spin cycle that doesn't spin properly either. Wool cycle will only take 1 jumper and not spin dry still wet. The machine has stopped 3 times on the wash spin cycle and the last time will not work any more. It does not do a good wash. My clothes are not dirty, they have just been worn for a day, so expect not to have to do long washes. The machine only good feature is the steam cycle. Tried to ring the 1300 line for a service call could not get through, 3 times I tried so emailed customer care and it took 24 hours for the first email which told me that would be in contact soon, how long is soon, 3 days is soon, the second email told me to undo filter - I can read a manual and tried but I do not have strength to turn the *** and the door opener is flimsy piece of plastic. I have currently been without a washing machine now for 5 days and had to hand wash clothes. This machine is the worst machine I have ever had. the "customer care" is not customer care I have taught customer service.
