Dean Foods - Bad tasting ice cream New York Vanilla is extremely salty tasting

Very salty taste in my New York Vanilla ice cream, I have had New York Vanilla ice cream many times and I have never eaten this flavor that taste this bad in my life even my two nieces would not eat it!

User's recommendation: Just be carful what you are buying and what it should taste like.

I have the same result - Dean's New York Golden Vanilla was my favorite - bought it for years; but the last bucket (4.5 quart pail) is totally bad - salty taste - cannot eat. Is this their new recipe?
