Litter Genie - Defective bags and short-run

I have three cats and have been using this product for more than 3 years. Several times, I've had issues with the bags being defective. They often come out "quadrupled" and then the entire run is very short, only lasting 2 weeks. I wrote to the company and they did send me some discount coupons on one occasion. However, this has happened to me on multiple purchases and I received NO RESPONSE from the company when trying to contact them a second, third, and fourth time. The bags are expensive, and do work. However, it is false advertising to state how long the run of the bag is when it is oftentimes shorter runs and apparently defective. I feel ripped-off.
