Tarkett - Dealer claim denied

Tarkett Aloft lvt floating floor was installed according to tarketts installation instructions. In less than 12 months some of the end joints seperated mainly in the traffic areas.

User's recommendation: This floor is suitable for installation over concrete subfloors only. If there is the slighest movement in the subfloor less than 1/32 inch give down the floor will seperate.

Dealers claim to Tarkett refused

Tarkett product Aloft ,installed observing tarketts installation guidelines particularly the fact that the floor was installed over 3/4 tongue and groove plywood on floor joists on 16 inch centers. End joints are coming apart in main traffic areas.

User's recommendation: The Aloft lvt is a manufactured by China. I believe as good as any chinese made floor as far as surface durability. However it will not perform on a suspended wood floor, if there is any movement at all the end joints will seperate. Therefore I would only install this floor over a cement or light weight cement floor.
