Amazon cancelled my credit card.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I've been a customer of Amazon for over 20 years. Thousands spent with Amazon.

Two problems with Amazon: [ 1 ] Signed me up for prime when I never requested the expense of "Prime".

Then ran me through the wringer cancelling Prime, stating "no refund will ever be issued for Prime".

[ 2 ] Amazon got hacked or suffered some kind of intrusion affecting my credit card. Their absolute insistence of dealing with this was to cancel my card.

This was a result of a problem THEY were experiencing, not any issue involving exclusively my credit card. Now I must wait until a new card is issued and somehow contact all the "auto pay" accounts with which this cancelled card is associated.

House Sitters America - Refund of erroneous charge.

A spurious charge was made to my account, under another name and address (other than my own). House Sitters America ultimately and courteously issued a credit for this charge. Correspondence with real people, a satisfactory resolution of a real problem.

Jones Dairy Farm - What is it really??

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have purchased "Canadian Bacon" packaged by Jones Dairy Farm. It has a curious perfectly round shaped pieces. It also has an inedible casing around the perimeter, which resembles cased sausage. I just viewed a video warning of "meat glue", outlawed by the EU, but identified as "the best kept secret in the United States". Something is unnatural about this product. The taste and consistency are correct, the appearance and texture seem to indicate this is a semi-manufactured product. Jones also has "Ham Slices" which appear identical. It is my considered opinion this product represents the "meat glue" processed food described in the "meat glue" cautionary video which can be viewed on You Tube!

IKEA store visit / purchase? Never again!

I patronized the Tampa, FL IKEA store to buy what amounted to an exclusive style of bed. For starters, the unbelievable size of the store (warehouse) was intimidating and totally customer unfriendly. It is perhaps the largest retail building I have ever seen devoted to a singular entity. In fact, when one enters an associate hands out a "road map" of the store interior. The concept is for the customer to make a selection, figure out where the item(s) are, and put them in one of their heavy-duty carts. Since I was looking for a particular furniture item, I was finally able to locate the item on the lower floor storage area. The color I wanted, I was then told, was in an area off-limits to the customers. This began a multiple series of waiting periods totaling over an hour. The purchase of my item involved at least 5 separate steps in 5 different parts of this cavernous building. Long story short: After a total of 1 hour and 25 minutes I finally had my "stuff" but was still inside the building with nearly 300# of cartons on the cart. Being 76 years old, I couldn't lift about half of the cartons. (Particle board is HEAVY!) In a strange manner, I was finally assisted in loading my purchase by a heavily perspiring Hispanic that didn't speak English. (It was quite hot outside, Florida, "หœya know.) . If I NEVER go back to that IKEA store, that'll be too soon. Sort of like going to some understaffed wholesale warehouse operation not geared to friendly customer convenience and shopping ease.

Guest

Would you like them to put the meatballs in your mouth too??

Guest

Oh my. You are intimidated by the size of a building.

You should have left . Millions of are comfotable shopping at Ikea and all their stores are huge.

Get real and get a life.. Shop at a small store and you will be happy.

Be wary of Consumer Cellular!

I initiated cellular service with Consumer Cellular. On 7-9-2010 I received two Motorola EM330 cell phones. On 7-12 one phone locked up. Upon advice, I removed the battery to reboot the phone. When doing so, the battery door latch became disengaged from the phone body. I then advised Consumer Cellular of this event. I was IMMEDIATELY told :'now you'll have to buy a new phone'. That's a direct quote. Phone less than four days old? "The Buy a new phone" statement made at least 8 times as I worked my way up the staff levels of customer support. I was ultimately able to reinstall the battery cover latch button, and decided I had made a grave mistake of choosing Consumer Cellular, and elected to return everything per the terms of their "หœ45 day return policy'. . Unbelievably, I was then told in no uncertain, terse terms: "หœWe won't accept the one phone back. We don't accept broken phones for return. You can keep that phone, it's yours now'. . The phone WAS NOT "หœBROKEN' ! I had never described the phone as "หœbroken', only that the battery cover latch had become disengaged. I had already managed to successfully reinstall the latch release button. . Their oratory during the sales pitch was filled with accolades of self-praise as to what a great service they provided, how they were the "no argument" cellular provider. "หœWe're different'. . Different they ARE! I have never witnessed such a Jekyll / Hyde transformation of any entity in my life. The mood went from "หœkissy-kissy' (for lack of better term) to outright acerbic, rude, and irresponsible dialogue in the transition from sale to service issue. . Actually the Motorola EM330 was a poor choice, being cheaply made and overly fragile. Doubly so when dealing with a cell provider with the post sale policies of Consumer Cellular.

Hey "Anonymous": The latch was snapped back in place and full credit was issued.

I "broke" nothing dickwad.

.

And as a side note, Consumer cellular has COMPLETELY overhauled their policies and

rates, and is currently one of the least expensive GSM carriers with currently good

feedback.

They did a '180'. They also are the least expensive source of GSM phones.

Guest

Battery latch has been disengaged means broke. You broke it.

with metro, the cheapest plan is $40 bucks a month, with boost it's even cheaper if you make consistent payments. I think it was dumb for people to go with consumer cellular when metro pcs have unlimited everything, unlimited texts, calls, all for that low price.

(727) 698-**** I can't seem to set up my voicemail. when I hold down the 1 key, it asks do you want to set this number? help

In response to "Anonymous" in Orlando:

What a load of disinformation! ANY phone manufacturer will redirect you to the carrier in the event of equipment problems.

รขโ‚ฌล“Call Motorolaรขโ‚ฌย?

Find out how far you'll get! Might as well talk to the wall.

I will explain as a current employee the focus on customers is a load. They will and have been a company focused on money.

It is fact that the devices sold are some times resold as new. They will not care unless you post a bad comment on facebook, then they will bend to your will.

you are better off using a comany that has better service and policies even though you may have a contract. Stay clear, this is why im looking for other employement because of the lack of care for the customers.

Guest

I have had consumer cellular it is great with no contracts but they too have a catch no contracts but in these days sometimes we text well they only give you a certain limit if you exceed that they charge you mega money and then thats how they get their money they are a scam and a rip off a contract seems like a better thing and more legitite - I am here in my home with no service gave up our regular phone they put me and my children at risk they are at school and I have no way of communicating with them they are charging me 136.00 and want is now for the texting what happens if you don't have it , with this economy .....stay away from this company we are cancelling our service completely they do not care about the customer once they rope you iin thats it my cousin died in 9/11 and I need communication and to make sure my kids are safe at all times now i can't

Consuela Ino

the most rude people i ever dealt with.they have no concern for people all my years with sprint/nextel i never had this problem or rudness i am a new customer no even a month old never expected the way i was treated.will look for new carrier tomorrow.some one should tell their people there is a call log in the phone stating who was called and the time ,day and lenght of call.all they want to do is up grade you

Guest

FYI nearly ALL cell phone manufacturers refer problems be dealt with by the source, to wit: The cellular carrier. Thanks for the information "that Consumer Cellular is the carrier".

.

Geez! I would've never guessed.

Guest

People must realize that Consumer Cellular is the carrier. They did not manufacture the phone. People rush to call customer service with phone problems that have nothing to do with the network.
