American Home Shield - 4 months waiting on a microwave repair/replacement

15 year old GE microwave needs 3 parts, ordered by Sears appliance repair. After a couple months it was obviously due to appliance age, those parts will never be available, so Sears reported to AHS to replace it. Numerous calls to AHS customer service reveals those reps are given minimal information and parrot the party line that it's under review. One rep confirmed the case is sitting in their AUTHORIZATION department to process as did Sears repair with a follow up call. That's now been weeks. Totally UNSAT Sent a letter to AHS parent company Frontdoor customer relations several days ago (post office confirms receipt) to try to move the process along. Standing by...

User's recommendation: AHS has served us well in 3 houses, so this is a huge disappointment. I'd shop around for other warranty companies if this is the current state of affairs. Not sure if it's gone downhill since customer service moved to the Phillipines or if it's a general intentional delay on their part to retain those repair/replacement funds for longer for the bottom line.
