Verizon - Poor customer service

Router stopped working. After 2 weeks w/o service, I was told that Verizon no longer provides service in my area. Then, instead of closing my acct and giving me a pro-rated refund, they cont'd to send me a bill for the month I had no service. I spent 3 months trying to get my acct closed. In April, I was told it would be taken care of. In Aug I received a collection agency notice for the unpaid month that I had no service. Ver Verizon

User's recommendation: Avoid Verizon home wireless if you live in a rural area.
