No, you are right. If they have the ring, they should not keep it. Now, you can have FedEx pick up the packing from him. If he will not comply, report the ring stolen to the police, with pictures, and give the cops all the information and let them handle it. I would make sure to let the guy know that if he does not allow FedEx to have the packing, that you will get the police involved. $8000 would be grand larceny or grand theft, depending on the laws in your state.

That box looks like any box that comes with that type of product. They are not packaged good enough to handle the trip they make. Sauder packs the same way. As does Mainstay. Also, I have this exact piece, and there is no instruction book included. There is a one page instruction in the box.
As for paying someone to get it up the steps, that is a heavy as *** box. Those drivers are not required to carry heavy boxes up stairs and into your house. In fact, they are not allowed to enter your home period. So you would still have had to get someone to bring it in. They are required to leave it for you to carry.
If you can't pick up heavy boxes, don't order heavy stuff.
UPS is the same by the way. As for your FedEx driver, as long as you get your package, what they do in their truck is none of your business. They are allowed to talk on their phone, even yell at someone.

Your mistake was asking another jewelry store to appraise a stone you bought from the competition. They have no interest in telling you anything good since they did not make the sale. The object is to p.iss you off so you WILL buy from them, if they can make you believe they are the honest ones and your seller is not. This is a common yet annoying habit among jewelry stores. I once had a jewelry store manager tell me my diamond was fake when I took my ring in for sizing. He was willing to give me the gold value and sell me a 'real' one though. Since I know diamonds, and know how to use a loupe and tester, I called him on his BS. I did not allow him to size my ring. I do not do business with people like that.
If you ever buy a diamond and want an independent appraisal, go to a JEWELER, not a jewelry store, especially a chain. Rarely do they even employ an actual jeweler, let alone a GIA certified one.

Yes, the key here is to educate yourself before making such an investment. Do you go buy a car without researching it? *** no! Get a loup(they are cheap) and figure out what you are looking for.
Secondly, why the *** is this tw1t sending and $8000 ring by mail? That is ludicrous! Hand deliver it yourself. Are americans really this dvmb, or is she just wanting the insurance money?

The doors will only be closed when all passengers at the gate are boarded. If you are not there, then you are SOL. They do not just stop in the middle of boarding to close the gate. That is ***.
They were late, plain and simple. It takes a minimum of 20 minutes to get through pre-flight checks, and the doors must be sealed before they begin. Boarding starts about 45 minutes before a flight leaves, so you actually have about 25 minutes to get your butt on your plane. 15 minutes before the flight left was negligent on the passenger's part.

Retailers are allowed to offer whatever promos they choose and whatever discounts they choose.
Many retailers don't take AMEX due to the high fees associated with accepting their cards. Most store gross enough to cover it, but no one can force them to pay for something they do not want to pay for.

Every Dollar General I have been to has a blurb on their card reader that says CASH BACK FEE $1.50 when it asks you if you want cash back. So they do tell you up front.
Now, some processing companies might have a policy against it, but that is between them and their customer, the merchant.

Every airline has a a terrible track record according to all the people who have written reviews about them. However, once those reviews are read, it is easy to see that the majority of people complaining caused their own issue.
Like the above poster. She arrived at the counter 50 minutes before her flight. According to the FLL website, passengers must be checked in at least 1 hour before their flight, which means, she should have already passed the check in process by 7:00 am, meaning she should have gotten to the airport at at least 5:00 am. The site says CHECKED IN, not at the check in line.
She messed up.

In all fairness, every single time I have flown, I have been checked in and at my gate well before my flight boarding time. Not a single time have I ever been late to a flight or missed a plane due to a flight not being called. If you are where you are supposed to be at the time you are supposed to be there, you won't miss it. What I mean is, if all these people were at the right gate, they would have been present for the boarding like everyone who actually made the flight, especially since boarding takes at least 30 minutes to complete. Unless the plane took off without any passengers, which I doubt.

There is very little room for negotiation when trying to change a name on a ticket with every single airline in this country. Correcting a spelling is fairly simple. Changing to a completely different person, not so much. This is for the safety of everyone in and airport and on the plane.
You said you are 60 years old. The terms for ticket refunds are available on every airline website for you to read before you buy a ticket. You failed to read them. That is your fault.

Do you know how long the cleaning crew has to clean the interior of the plane when it lands? Most often less than 30 minutes. The longer a plane stays on the ground the more money they lose, and the more delays occur, causing people to miss connecting flights. If you are that worried about cleanliness, pay for first class seating, or take a small can of lysol spray or wipes with you when you fly.
If I didn't hear noise when I fly, I would worry.

Good looking kids. However, do you think to make sure you were seen on time they should have just stopped in the middle of the shoot they were doing? What if they had? Then your kids took too long so they have to stop during your shoot to keep someone else on time.
The fact is, taking portraits with kids sometimes takes longer than normal. It depends on the kids. Some kids do fine, others need a little coaxing. Your entire attitude and lack of understanding makes me wonder how you act at home with your kids.

I am very aware that fruit grows off trees. Growers do indeed have certain controls over the quality of their fruit. Having served as a volunteer at several farms I know this first hand.
I paid a premium price for an inferior product. Again, my point was these are not the same quality of pears Harry & David once use to sell. This seems to coincide with them being bought out a few years ago. Often times, a company is bought out and the quality of the product declines.
May I suggest you fully read an entire review before handing out worthless advice. Thanks.
