It does take up to 7 business days. 24 hours was incorrect info. And Expedia was holding your money for that time period. They put the credit through and then it can take that long untill you will see the credit. I have never understood why it can be taken out right away, but when someone credits you it can take up to 7 business days. Its not Expeda, its the same for any business that credits you.

Wow i wouldnt want to work their either. But my only negative comments is your employer is not responsible to feed you. Bring food with you or order a pizza. And as far as breaks, front desk employees do not get breaks at any hotel I have worked for 5 different ones.

All hotels overbook rooms because people constantly dont show up for their reservations. It is unfortunate that the "upgrade" was worse than the other room. Typically thats not the case. Dont put your key card anywhere near another credit card or cell phone otherwise this will happen. Not saying you did but just letting you know. If you want a hotel with a bar & restaurant check to see if they have one before you book. Its not their fault you didnt check. The cleaning at this hotel sounds like a nightmare.

In the end It doesnt matter if the hotel sold out or not. They held rooms back for you. Unfortunatly in the hotel industry people forget to cancel reservations. And will lie and say they. Always ask for the cancelation number and keep it untill you get your credit card statement. Otherwise if you did actually cancel you have to pay.

Sounds like you received a lower rate that requires you to pre pay. The catch always is you can not cancel or you have to cancel within a certain time period. Yes it sucks but they have a right to do it. A lower rate is not always better. Pay the full in case of any reason you have to cancel.
