I have been a customer of GoDaddy for well over 15 years. There was a time when I would've recommended the company, but not anymore. GoDaddy is now in the domain squatting business. Keep in mind that I'm not talking about the choicest top level domains like Dogs DotCom...

UPS Lied About No One Being Home, Ultimately Leading to Headaches

Original review updated by user Dec 03, 2020
I ordered something from Home Depot and waited to receive the package on Friday, November 27. Instead of getting it, the UPS driver lied, put in a false attempted delivery note in tracking, then dropped it off at a nearby access point. Having the thing dropped off at an access point defeated the whole purpose of ordering this thing via mail in the first place, so I registered an online account to ask UPS to deliver it back to my house. Easy peasy, or so you would think. Unfortunately, to do this online, you have to enter a special number from a sticky note that the driver places on your door notifying you of a missed delivery and I didn't have that because the DAMNED driver had lied about having ever visited my house. So I called customer service and notified them of the change. Someone assured me that the package would be delivered the next day. But then when I checked tracking a day later, I saw that status had remained unchanged and was still informing me of a missed delivery and telling me that I had to pick the package up at the access point or that it would be returned to sender. There was nothing that said, for example, "rescheduled for delivery." It was the same tracking as before. I called UPS customer service again, but this time got one of those vague responses where I was reassured that the company had received my request to redeliver the package to my house but couldn't give me an ETA at all. Keep in mind that this was happening on a Wednesday, and I was supposed to have received this item five days before! So now I was looking at potentially waiting a few more days for an item I had paid UPS X amount of money to have delivered by a specific date. Gotta love how these lazy *** millennials working these days just abuse the tracking system to *** and back. Just put in false tracking, and collect your paycheck for the day. It's all good! Who cares who you're inconveniencing!Angry

User's recommendation: Avoid!

Yelp is No Longer Trustworthy; Pulls Legit Reviews Based on False Flagging

I've been reviewing on Yelp for years and never had an issue posting reviews. All of a sudden, the site deleted an old review based on a false claim that it violated the TOS. It claimed all kinds of patently untrue nonsense about being racist/sexist, making fun of violent and sexual situation. This is so ridiculously off base, I couldn't believe it. Normally, I wouldn't have cared if the review was for a frivolous business that no one hardly visits. The reason why it was a big deal in this case is that the review was for Power Home Remodeling Group, a shady MLM-style company that uses a lot of manipulative and aggressive sales techniques that take advantage of the elderly, the passive or people who tend to buckle under the pressure. On top of that PHRG has a huge online presence and is known to register fake accounts to post rave reviews at various customer review sites, aggressively respond to negative reviews or bribe customers into posting five star reviews. It was very important that I alert other customers on Yelp about this company because of how shady and manipulative it is. Apparently, Power Home Remodeling Group was able to use another one of its tactics and get my review pulled for no reason. If a company this scummy can successfully get a review pulled, off of Yelp, then Yelp is no longer a trustworthy customer review site. Another reason why it's no longer trustworthy is that I noticed that it this is part of a trend across multiple customer review sites now. All of a sudden, reviews that were in good standing for years will suddenly get pulled or flagged for false claims of racism, sexism, etc. For example, Amazon has started filtering out completely harmless reviews and blocking accounts from posting. I think this is all about increasing these companies' bottom lines now. In any event, I deleted all of my reviews off of Yelp.

User's recommendation: Avoid.

Yelp is a community-driven site, and removing photos, reviews, or other user content is not something they take lightly. Power nor any other business on Yelp does not have the ability to remove reviews from our profiles.

That ability is Yelps and Yelps alone. For more information on Yelp’s process, please see Yelp's Content Guidelines and Terms of Service. We have never offered incentives for customers leaving reviews. Every review that you see, both positive and negative, is authentic and reflects the homeowner’s experience from their perspective.

We literally visit with hundreds of homeowners every day, so the opportunities for customer experiences to turn into online reviews are plentiful. We take accusations like yours seriously.

We'd appreciate it if you could email digital@***.com so we could look into your concerns in greater detail. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to speak with you soon.

Items were received, eventually..

Update by user Jun 19, 2020

Well, the next day after I posted my review, I received my items. However, I can't give a solid five stars, because this is what happened:After FedEx put it in tracking that it had attempted delivery (when it never did), it updated tracking to say I'd receive the item...

Power Home Remodeling is probably the shadiest company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Its associates--who are usually very young, friendly college age kids--will approach you at a warehouse club and ask you if you'd like a free quote for a home...

Same thing happended to me and my husband. I signed up but decided to cancelled on the second day.

Manager came over to sign cancellation. He stayed for three hours and wanted us to do part of the project kept lowering the price.

Finally he got upset because we did not sing for part of the project. He left upset and saying rude things to us.

Bissell Aeroswift Compact Bagless Upright Vacuum is Garbage

Recently, I replaced an ancient Dirt Devil with an Bissell Aeroswift Compact Bagless Upright Vacuum. The first few times it worked like a charm and I couldn't be happier. Then I noticed that it wasn't vacuuming anything at all. In fact, it was doing the very opposite, which was pushing the dirt out. I went online and tried to see if I could troubleshoot it. First, I cleaned out the filter. Then I inspected the hose and saw that it was crammed with tightly compacted lint and cotton. I cleaned it out, thinking that was the problem. The vacuum worked for a little bit and then started spewing dirt again after a minute, so now it's apparent that something else isn't working. After all this, I went online to look at online reviews and what do you know? All of the one star reviews going back three years had had the same issues of the vacuum suddenly spitting out dirt. One reviewer even posted pictures as proof. So, this is a known problem with this vacuum! Avoid at all costs!

USPS - Evil agency staffed by thieves that will snatch medical supplies, gifts, etc. from users

The USPS hires crooks that will happily steal your packages during the holiday season, then put in false tracking information pretending to have delivered it to your house even though you were home the entire day they claim to have delivered it.
