Vrbo - A B&B review site that uses fuzzy measure

A web site that reviews businesses shoud ue fair and equal measure After staying at a B&B listed on bedandbreakfast.com I wanted to write a bad review. This sites reviews listed great things about the B&B we stayed in but in no way could they be possible. Other web sites that accept reviews had a mixed review for the B&B we were at but Bedandbreakfast.com had nothing but good things to say. So get this...... If you write a good revew on bedandbreakfast.com the review gets posted without delay as long as your not associated with the business being reviewed. If you write a bad review on the other hand the review gets held up until you scan, fax or prove that you really stayed somewhere. Now I understand verification but isn't it just as bad to inflate good reviews as writtng bad ones. Why do you think bedandbreakfast.com makes it harder on someone writting a bad review? Is this fair. Maybe the answer is in who pays for advertising on B&B.com. A review is a review and should be treated as equal when good or bad. Use fair rules for everyone. This site is a real good example of why we shouldn't always trust what we see on-line

I just had an experience with bedandbreakfast.com about this very issue! After their repeated attempts to get me to write a review I decided to do so. My review was not "critical" or slanderous, but because it was not a 5 star rating it was disallowed because I chose not to hand over my personal billing information as proof of my stay. They say to "blackout" the critical information but why would I go through the painstaking effort to make copies, black it out on the copy to save my original statement, find a fax machine and pay to fax the info, etc..? Positive reviews, on the other hand, are posted almost immediately.

Mine was a simple, thoughtful review and yet they would not post it to "protect" the innkeeper. Again, the review was clearly not slanderous but if bedandbreakfast.com allows this "negative" feedback to appear they will begin to lose membership (read: profit) and the monopoly on this market so they cannot allow less than stellar reviews - that's it in a nutshell.

I think this site is a bit of a disservice to the potential customer because it does not provide a balanced viewpoint. I would posit that there are many who, after being asked to prove their stay, abandon their attempt to submit their review because of their concerns over the invasion of privacy, the risk of identity theft, and the energy it takes to follow through on something that, in the end, simply doesn't merit the follow through.

Wow,

From what I just read your claim is that more people are apt to write a good review then a bad one. You just changed all supporting evidence to the contrary. Fact..more consumers will tell a bad story then a good one. There is about a 10 to 1 ratio and it is supported. Yet your claim is you get many more good reviews than bad.
