DoorDash - Billing practices

On May 9, 2021 I placed an order with A-One-Asian Buffet in CANADA @ 4:32 pm to be delivered between 6:00-6:30 pm. The order total was $89.82 minus the gift certificate of $50.00 with a final total of 39.82 charged to my M/C. At 7:37 pm I had not yet received my order and A-One-Asian Buffet staff stated they had no record of my order but (4) Dashers had been there prior to pick up the order and they said it was ready. I received confirmation on my cell phone that the order was being picked up. I cancelled the order and received an email from DoorDash the order was cancelled stating I would my M/C would be credited the $39.82 for which I have not yet received. I spoke with a staff member @ DoorDash and explained the episode. I wanted my gift certificate refunded in addition to the $39.82 charged to my credit card. I received a DoorDash credit of $75.00 @ 7:04 pm May 9, 2021. I have since placed 2 orders (1) Kelsey's May 9th @ 8:28 pm for $56.90, (2) Piero's Pizza May 13th @ 7:33 pm $30.94 for a grand total of $87.84. Original credit was for $89.82. There was still a small credit remaining and now I can no longer access my account because I've been blocked as of May 15th. I have to say this was my first experience using this service only because it was a Mother's Day gift. I can't say that it was a good experience. I am very disappointed in the way DoorDash does business. The $39.82 was supposed to be credited back to my M/C. I will definitely research/review other delivery service competitors prior to making an informed decision. I doubt very much I will use this service again nor will I recommend your service.

Preferred solution: Price reduction

User's recommendation: Call the restaurant yourself to verify they received the order. Call DoorDash to ensure you receive your credit or refund. In addition, there may be no delivery fee but they do charge a service fee and add driver tips automatically on top of your original order total.
