Amazon - Refunds on merchandise

I returned an item that I bought on Amazon. It arrived with a missing item, so I sent it back for a refund and tracked the refund on the Amazon site.

Now it says delayed in transit because of a third-party vendor! I called Amazon, and they informed me I need to take it up with the vendor to find where my refund is. But shouldn't this be Amazon's responsibility?

Why, as a buyer, do I need to track down my refund? I don't believe what they are doing to refunds to consumers that return items that they sell on the Amazon site.

DO NOT SHIP WITH UPS

I recently shipped with UPS only to have Package Damaged . Now even with insurance they will not pay for the damaged goods.

how ever I received this same package from FEDEX undamaged then shipped it with UPS and this is I am told to be my fault the package was not able to support weight , while still being in the original manufacturers box with all package contents. I think they should be held responsible and refund me the cost to replace the damaged goods.

and if any ships out packages with UPS be very careful this could happen to you this Holiday Season. when you ship with UPS
