As a former employee, with a relationship going back decades, I will attest that the vast majority of corporate correspondence with a guest is going to be written, and metered out- you're not getting 6 emails back and forth in one day. I will also say that in the 15 years I worked there, I can only recall one instance where the problem wasn't very quickly attributable to either the guest or the associate.

Where the big problems occur was usually when something wasn't right and the homeowner just went ahead and tried forcing a square peg into a round hole. Yes, the employee sold the square peg, but if the instructions call for round peg, why are you pulling out a hammer and surprised when it doesn't work?
