HughesNet - Unfair charges

Hughes is trying to collect $220. for something they call a radio transmitter. Apparently it is on the dish antenna. I sold my house and have been moved for over a year. Now they are trying to collect for this item. No bills, no calls prior to them sending it to a collection agency. I am 75 and lived alone. I have no technical skills and would not know how to begin to get the item or what it looked like.

User's recommendation: Don't trust Hughes net.

Centurylink - Being billed for something I never had

I ordered Century link internet. The guy brought as modem, but never made sure I connected to internet. I tried and tried to connect to no avail. Contacted customer service , after 1 !/2 hours on phone, they said the modem was bad. They sent another modem. It also would not connect. I finally after being totally frustrated, called and asked them to send me a return label for both modems. It took a couple of weeks for them to send the labels. I RETURNED both modems. They are still billing me for something I NEVER received. I want them to STOP billing me and credit my "account' for the $425.19 service I never had.

User's recommendation: Avoid Century link.

Homework Home Inspections - Home inspection

the actual name of the company is Home Worx.

The employee did a home inspection and although the roof was put on by a roofing contractor he insulted all roofers in the south. He said that no roofer in the south knows how to put on a roof. He claims there are pieces of flashing missing. I contacted the original roofer and he said the roof is code.

User's recommendation: AVOID this company.

DIRECTV - Billed for unused service

Direct then proceeded to try to cancel the service as if they were doing it for unpaid bill. I had called and canceled service a full 6 weeks prior to that. I want them to credit my account for the charge for service not received.

I had a house fire and had to move out of my home. I called Direct to explain and asked them to suspend my account until I could get back in my home. They kept trying to give me different dates for service to stop. I told them the fire was on 6/26/19 and that should be the stop date. They said they had already billed me for the next month and I needed to pay that. My bill was paid for service received. I told them I should not be billed for something I couldn't use.

Manybel - Very poor customer service/misleading emails

Ordered dog collars on 5/18/19. This started a series of emails. The emails were very misleading. One stated that my order had not been completed. I gave a link to complete the order. However that link was a repeat of the original order form. Since I thought maybe the information did not go through, I filled it out. Then I got an email with a confirmed order number. More emails regarding a supposed 2nd order. I sent them a email to reimburse me for an unordered 2nd order. Also contacted my credit card company, They did reimburse me for the 2nd order. However, they have not responded to numerous requests to find out when my original order will be shipped. It is impossible to speak to anyone with this company and their emails are automatically generated. Not once have I gotten a response from anyone with this company. I would say they are not a reputable company and would advise anyone to go elsewhere for their business.

ManhattanLife - Bad service on claims

Filled out THEIR claim form, which the doctor had to fill out and sign in Feb. Had to call to see what the holdup was. They never contacted me that there was any problem. !st call I was told it was being processed and would be done in 24-48 hours. Called a second time (they again did not contact me to say there was a problem). This time they said they need an itemized copy of the bill which I sent. Still no response, so called a 3rd time and they said they didn't get the bill. So now, I send it a 2nd time, They are claiming they didn't get it AGAIN. However at no time have they contacted me. Now today, I call again for the 4th time. THEY ARE CLAIMING THEY STILL HAVEN'T RECIEVED THE BILL. This is poor service on their part. Apparently they have no one working there that knows what they are doing. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

If you ever get late by one or two days on a payment you will be harassed constantly by these people. They will call 8 to 10 times a day. All the calls are done by robots. Some of the calls come 1 minute apart. I suppose they never heard of the US postal service....

Solution: Don't be a day or two late and this won't happen to you. If you can't budget correctly, or life happens, do not expect them to "work with you" expect calls until you honor your signature. You agreed to this when you signed up for their money.

Apria - Absolutely worst customer service

I have spent better than 2 weeks trying to reorder supplies from this company. Their reps are courteous but ignorant. They are like robots reading from Q cards. I was expected to pay them an amount of money without anything to back it up. They want your payment information over the phone to some foreign speaking person. I refuse to give out my credit info due to past problems. I tried to get them to send me an email stating the amount I needed to pay. They refused and said they can't do that. Makes one wonder what other shady business practices they engage in. They think just because they say you should pay some amount you should just pay and no questions asked. Even their website will say they are unable to say how much you need to pay, but enter your credit info and they will charge it for an unknown amount.
