Axos Bank - Rude, unprofessional and hidden fees

In January of 2021, I opened a rewards checking account and savings account at Axos Bank. Within a very short time, it became clear that Axos Bank was not at all what they advertised as their strong selling asset - rewarding customer service available 24/7. I had my account closed because they claimed I.was in violation of the deposit agreement. This information came via an email. As the account was only a couple of weeks old, I was understandably shaken. I called Axos Bank and was asked by the personal banker who answered my call to read him the email. The email really said very little about why I was in violation of the deposit agreement and the personal banker told me he had no information to offer and that I should wait to hear further communication from Axos Bank deposit team. He advised me to throw away a brand new package of checks and the debit card I had just received that day. This was on a Friday so the following Monday morning I called Axos Bank and spoke to yet another personal banker. She assured me that the account was in excellent financial health and was active. She told me she would immediately escalate my concerns to management. I heard nothing further so after 2 business days I sent a secure message through the Axos Bank online portal. A few hours later, I received confirmation that my account was indeed in excellent financial health and that another package of checks and a new debit card would be mailed to me and I could expect to receive both in 7-10 business days. Encouraged by this, I deposited a $2,000 check from WinTrust Wealth Management via Axos mobile banking. 7 business days later, my deposit cleared and all that remained was to receive the new checks and debit card in the mail. One day after my deposit cleared, I received a secure message through the Axos Bank website inform me my accounts were scheduled to be closed on Friday, March 12, 3 business days after my deposit had just cleared. I received the debit card in the mail a couple of hours after I was informed the accounts were closing. I was informed by another rude, unprofessional personal banker that although the deposit had cleared, the debit card was deactivated. This morning I received an email in response to my first review of Axos Bank on Pissed Consumer inviting me to address my concerns 24/7 with a personal banker. So early this morning, I called and spoke to yet another obnoxious, arrogant and rude, disinterested personal banker who informed me that there was no one to address my concerns until 11:00 AM CST. Oh sure they will send my outstanding balance FedEx, but they will charge me $10 processing fee and FedEx shipping fees plus taxes adding up to roughly $30.

PNC Bank - Excellent excellent customer service

The tellers and personal bankers at PNC offer unfailingly professional and courteous service. They offer a variety of very lucrative account features, including an immediate debit card cut on the premises and the first 2% of your deposit available the same day. After that, $100 the second day and the entire deposit available the third business day. After 30 days, the entire deposit is available the next day.

US Bank - Terrible service by Branch Manager in West Dundee, IL

I lost $318.64 because the Branch Manager and Vice President at US Bank in West Dundee is unreasonable. She treated me like dirt. She called the police on me because I "demanded" my money. I demanded nothing. I was unfailingly polite. She is the one who was demanding. Also the personal bankers (all of them) at the branch on Randall Road in Elgin, are rude, officious, arrogant and are know-it-alls. One in particular can't mind her own business and constantly interrupts. I don't recommend ever opening an account at US Bank - ever. You'll be very sorry, believe me. The branch manager in West Dundee called the police on me. A terrible, unprofessional and unbelievably rude bank.

Amazon customer service hires a lot of foreigners who don't speak or understand English very well and this is a big, big problem. They locked my account because I had purchased $700 worth of gift cards for my fiance'. They sent me an email that my account was locked and that I would have to verify the details of the credit card I used as my default card to bill prime membership and purchases. I provided screenshots of the debit card details they requested, as well as my name, address, email address, mobile phone number. I also included a screenshot of the charges in question. They claimed they still could not verify my account and that it would be closed by today.

I only had Axos Bank for five weeks when they closed my account for no reason that I could understand. They held onto one of my deposits for 2 weeks and finally returned it as being rejected because they claimed the cashier's check was damaged. I received an email that told me I would have to wait close to a month to get my outstanding balance. They also sent back three debits I had made because they claimed I didn't have the funds to cover those debits. There was plenty of money in the account. They also charged me a $10 chargeback fee and I was assured by two personal bankers that the fee would be reversed. I had to call three times and finally one of the personal bankers took pity on me and refunded my $10S

It's not Misery Loves Company because I love NOTHING about Axos Bank. I know you're giving an accurate account of what Axos Bank did to you because they did me the same way.

I filed a number of complaints and will continue to file complaints against them.

The only thing that will stop me will be if they repay me the thousands of dollars that they took from me when they closed my account. They are as crooked as the streets in Boston!

Whitepages - Lousy listings - inaccurate

White Pages contacted me simply to tell me that my membership was cancelled; nothing more.

I have been a customer of White Pages for several years. As time has gone on, their listings have become more and more inaccurate. 85% inaccurate. I looked someone up last week. There were 6 phone numbers for this person, four of which were cellphone numbers. All of the numbers listed were WRONG. I called one of the numbers and told the woman who answered that I had a wrong number. A few minutes later, her mother called and said I was harassing her daughter and the police would be notified. When I emailed White Pages support the dumb representative who replied said my automatic billing had been cancelled. My email had clearly stated that I wanted a refund. How dumb is that? Dont EVER use White Pages. Its a total rip-off.

TCF Bank - They ripped me off

I banked with TCF for 21 years. When they merged with Chemical Bank, their customer service went down the tubes. Their branch manager, Melissa Padermo on the TCF on Larkin Avenue in Elgin is unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, smug and self-righteous. She called the police on me because she is paranoid. They charged me hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees. Now they claim I owe them $233.00. They turned this over to Medical and Merchants, a collection agency which uses strong arm tactics. I disputed the debt in August of 2020 in writing per Medical and Merchants policy. They NEVER RESPONDED.
