After contacting Pissed Consumer and then my complaint was forwarded to GM customer service they reached out to me and reconsidered my claim for lost use of my car. Eirc's Chevrolet also called GM on my behalf and told GM they in no way damaged my Corvette. Gm told me...

Picked up my 2021Corvette HTC on 12-26-20. The next day the HTC top jammed when I attempted to close it.

Returned to the dealership. 22 days later I got the car back after GM engineer told the tech what parts to replace. A week later top jammed again. This happened 6-8 times over 6 months.

GM finally sent GM engineers to work on it. They could not fix the top either. They ordered a new top and closing mechanism. The engineers dropped the top and chipped the paint and they didnt have it aligned right.

It opened a couple of times and then it moved and chipped the paint in another place. I have 15-20 calls and 12 trips to the dealership 45 miles away. I was told a couple of times GM would possibly replace the car. I was also told I would have my payments reimbursed for the time my car was in the shop.

In the 8 months I owned my car it was in the shop 92 days. Now GM says I will not get any reimbursement because the dealership caused the damage!!! That is a lie! The dealership has been very open with me.

GM customer service lies. 1200 miles driving to the dealership attempting to get the car fixed and GM customer service is giving me a line of BS about the dealership!

Over 80 days in the shop! GM customer service does limited contact with me.

Offered an extended maintenance warranty for my inconvenience. I have driven over 850 miles back and forth to the dealership at countless hours. GM finally sent a new top and motors today. They also sent an engineer to help install it.

Headliner is damaged from all the removal and the dealer ordered a new one. We will see if it finally fixes the problem after 6 months!

I have posted my issue before and it is ongoing! I have ask GM customer service to replace my car with a new one! My 2021 Corvette HTC is in the shop for the fourth time because the top will not open and close. It may work 5-10 times and then crash when it closes. In the shop 22 days the first time 3 days 2nd time 32 days the 3rd time and I just took it back again. I have pages of service work and parts they have replaced and I have no idea if it is going to close. Mechanic has 40 years experience and has no idea what to do.

After 3 attempts to fix my 2021HTC Corvette it is back in the shop for the 4th time. The mechanic has been working for GM for 40 years but nothing like this. He has no idea what is happening. I have requested a new car ASAP from the GM customer representative. I am waiting to hear from her! 54 days in the shop. Over 300 miles just driving it to get it fixed. GM sent tech and he didnt stay around long enough to be sure it was fixed. It will work 5-6 times then crash. I posted after the third time they had the car for 32 days. 1st time 22 days 2nd only 3 days.

This should have been at Chevrolet not GMC.

Anyone thinking of getting a Corvette HTC maybe want to think again!!! I ordered a 2020 in Dec 2019. I was told I would have to wait for 2021. I was really excited to get a delivery date 12-26-20. On 12-27-20 I put the top down and when I attempted to close it the latches deployed before the top was down. I was about 100 miles from home. I pushed the top closed but an alert showed the top was not secure and the car is limited to 58 MPH. I drove it back to the dealer the next day another hour away. When they contacted GM they were told the part that may be needed. When they installed the part they found some *** had dropped a screwdriver in the motor area of the closer causing more damage. They ordered more parts and then more parts. 22 days later I get my car back and the next day the top would not close. It was 47 degrees and sunny! Manual says it will operate at 32 degrees and 17 degrees up and down. There is also a supposed to be a warning telling up you if it is too cold. WOULD NOT MOVE!! Dealer sent a flatbed to haul it back. Top operated at 70 inside and then the car was moved to unheated area and it would not operate. I live in north Indiana. The dealer says dont put it down when it is cold!! The top operated 4-5 times in next couple weeks but it closed with a clunking sound then it jammed just like the first time. I drove it back to the dealer and they did not have any idea how to fix it! GM sent someone to help last week. He says it needs another part. I am told the part might be in Michigan on May 17. Over 40 days in the shop and no idea when it will be fixed or if it will ever be right! $97,500 and no one of the biggest nightmares of my life!GM

A follow up to my problem with my 2021 HTC Corvette! Living in Indiana has not allowed me to put the top down on my convertible.

When I did put it down a few times it made a "clunking" sound when it closed. I put the top down on April 16th and the the top "crashed...

After much argument GM offered more money for “future service maintenance work” I have asked GM service people and the dealer to explain why the top would not close at 42 degrees? Manual says it will open at “about” 32 degrees and close at “about 17 degrees”. The...

I ordered a 2020 HTC in December 2019. I had to reorder a 2021 in July.

I took delivery of my 2021 Z51 HTC on 12-26-20. On 12-27 the top would not close. It worked at the dealer on the 26th. I took the car back to the dealer on 12-28.

They ordered a part and when they attempted to repair the top they found someone at the assembly plant left a 3' long screwdriver in the top close to the latch! It damaged the strike plate and I am not sure what else. They had to order more parts. The top would not align last week and now they are waiting on more parts.

The dealer says they are dealing with GM. GM customer service has called me and emailed and recognized my frustration! $98,580 out the door price and car was in the shop 22 days. I got it back and the first time I put the top down it will not go back up!

The dealer sent a flatbed wrecker to haul the car back to the dealer. Gm customer service offered me a $100 certificate for my trouble!

I have driven an extra 200 miles trying to get this fixed not to mention my stress and time. I am retired 67 year old and this is my first corvette.
