Roku sucks

Roku sucks

Two things, I use Roku like my other Apple tvs to host the apps I use to watch 6 paid services, such as Hulu etc. When you search in Roku, it doesn't show anything from any of these paid services, instead it finds shows on whatever you DON'T subscribe to, so the results are ALWAYS only paid and usually all roads lead to that d__ck over at Amazon.

Second, for 3 days now, every time I turn on Roku I get an error that it can't read or isn't connected - whatever it says, the result is that no video works enless I unplug and reset everything including the Roku device power cord, the Roku HDMI cord, the tv power cord, and tv HDMO. WTAF!!!! The only value or unique thing this box ever offered was to a) locate and b) play content. Just 2 things.

It doesn't do either.

PS There's not a backlit keypad either. So it is a total zero and I'm sorry I bought this thing because it sucks.

Dish Network - Just Don't

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I've been with Dish now 6+ years, seemed like the so much better deal, the much more reliable company deal, comparatively stable deal. i'm here to tell you "no.

" Every 6-10 months Dish is "at war" with some major channel - usually local, sometimes national or both. I lose every time because of black outs, get no credit or even the courtesy of communication from Dish. At most, if you look online, you will see how" x company is screwing you and call them" to "get your channel back!" No, I blame Dish. 100%.

Negotiate better. It's corporate america, and you are the only ones constantly losing channels. In addition, every day, maybe 6 times a day - seems like more - this stupid hopper "resets." Shuts programming down, sit and wait a good 10 minutes for a "reset." Why?? WHY?

Also, I paid a ton (Almost 400) for an upgrade to a new hopper and new joey for amazon prime in my living room and bedroom. That is all - only reason. Oh, guess what? No Amazon Prime in the bedroom on Joey (what?!), only on main hopper, and coincidentally (or not) Amazon Prime is mostly add in pricing now.

(Watch this movie or series? No, that's extra.) And god help you if you ever have a technical or other issue.

expect to get shuttled from her to there to there, and no one is going to help you. Dish sucks - I can't WAIT to get out.

Preferred solution: Price reduction

User's recommendation: Lost Channels (constantly), Zero Customer service (literally none), Constant Resets (10 times a day?))

Dish has no control over the cost of Amazon Prime. They only offer the app.

The restriction from the Joey is one made from Amazon themselves. Same with YouTube, Netflix and all the other apps. As far as the channels dropping, YTTV just lost tennis channel, Hulu lost FS Sports, Directv lost Tegna local channels.

This isn’t a Dish thing. This is a channels asking unreasonable rates and hit the ceiling thing.

Thanks, DISH PIO. You are clearly not a consumer or you wouldn't write stupid *** like that.
