OptumRx - Manufacture Aid for Expensive Meds

When you have meds that are impossible to afford, have you considered contacting the manufacturer directly and applying for some financial aid? I have to do this with my MS med. It's a bit of a hassle, but better than going without your meds. BTW, Optum wants a co-pay of $6500.00, yep that's right, a month for my MS med. No way. Just know that not all manufacturers will offer aid if you have any kind of RX insurance. But it's usually worth looking into. Also, consider a company like GoodRX. You will get a coupon and your insurance is not involved. It is worth paying cash sometimes when Optum charges your account horribly inflated prices, ie, $75.00 for a script I can get for less than $10.00 cash. We all need to do what we can to stay out of their donut hole, which is where they want us so they can ruin us financially. Good Luck

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center - Dartmouth tried to kill me

Avoid Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH at all costs. These horrible doctors and their student "wanna-be's" tried their best to cause my demise. They gave me two drugs I am allergic to and tried to give me a third. I refused the one and stopped another when I found out what it was. I nearly died from an allergic reaction to the drug I stopped. I was wearing a red allergy alert band and they had two hard copies of my allergy list. They also lost a diamond ring of mine and I can think of at least 12 people who saw the ring. They started two of the meds I'm, allergic to while I was unconscious. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID if you value your life. Their God complexes are huge and disgusting.

OptumRx - Double Billing/Deceptive Practices

Update by user Mar 30, 2017

This Kafka nightmare with OpyumRx continues. Even though the phone rep agreed that I had a zero balance, I am unable to refill medication.

They put a "Balance Restriction" on my account.

I was bounced to three different reps. The last rep said "it should have been...
