Ace Auto Of Winona - Terrible Customer Service and Price Gouging

Terrible customer service and price gouging experience!!! I have been in the automotive industry for years. Ace was recommended by my cousin Dave Angst of Bill Angst Motor Service because Dave didn't do this kind of work. I took my 2008 Ford Explorer in for a Hub Assembly including sensor replacement. The total bill $688 more than I was originally quoted. The hub assembly through the Ford dealer cost $333.00 always the most expensive. I was charged $432.00 through Ace for the same part. I know there is some markup being in this business but really. I asked Ace what kind of warranty was included and they didn't know when they should have. I asked them where they ordered the part from, Motor Parts and Equipment in Winona, where I know the guys and called them to ask the price of this exact same part $292.00 with a lifetime warranty the most expensive and $162.00 with a 3 year warranty two options and Ace Auto couldn't tell me what one they ordered and never informed me that I had any kind of warranty. Terrible customer service and price gouging at its best!!! I then asked the opinion of my brakes since they had the hub assembly out and caliper off and was charged another $21 for inspection. Finally I asked them to inspect my pulleys for my serpentine belt for alignment and on the invoice they stated I had a pulley with play but never identified what it was pertaining too. I called them back to find out more info and what pulley, funny thing is they stated it was the tensioner pulley which I had replaced not to long ago. This is uncalled for service and no recommendations made by me or the Angst name in Winona, MN. I would highly recommend staying away for Ace Auto for any service needs. Your better off going to the dealer in this case. Terrible service!!!!!! I am not one to complain about things like this being in this kind of business for years but there is a thing called CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HONESTY. Bad reviews will affect future business.

Pettibone RV refuses to refund my deposit of $1000 after I considered purchasing a unit from them pending financing, term, payment, rate and inspection of my unit being traded which was never brought

Pettibone RV refuses to refund my deposit of $1000 after I considered purchasing a unit from them pending financing, term, payment, rate and inspection of my unit being traded which was never brought on si. They then pulled my credit for two financial institutions, two hard inquiries on my credit when it should have only been one as I knew it would be approved overall with my credit score and history. The problem is the dealer was unable to approve financing based on the original terms discussed. I contacted Pettibone RV and Northshore Bank and they increased the rate, the payment was higher and on top of that they wanted an additional $1800 down payment which was not going to happen. I then found out the unit I was looking at was damaged and have actual photos of that damage. I informed Pettibone RV of all this and they informed me they will not refund my $1000 deposit because they could have had other buyers. My question then is what was the purpose of a deposit until the financing terms came back to know if I qualified and under what guidelines? I approached this on a professional level and the two owners refuse to refund this deposit. These practices are very deceptive and I have worked for many financial organizations and never have seen this kind of behavior. Most dealerships use a purchase order form and their wording is this may be a binding contract and you may lose any deposits if you do not perform to according to its items. How is this possible when the financing terms changed, it was pending financing and the requirement of an additional down payment occurred? If the dealership is unable to approve financing on the original terms discussed and if the dealership and consumer both understand that financing would be required which was the case the consumer will recover the deposit. Under these circumstances the consumer and the dealer agreed that there would be no purchase unless there was financing and if the financing falls through or terms change the deposit is refunded. The same is true if the terms of financing are different from what the consumer and dealer discussed before the deposit was paid which is also the case here since they are now requiring another $1800 down payment on top of the initial deposit of $1000. This also applied to interest rate and payment which are now higher overall from first discussion and before the deposit was placed. It also applies if the dealership says that the consumer needs to find a co-signer or pay a larger down payment which again is the case here with a larger down payment of $1800 required for qualification of financing. This dealer is very deceptive, unprofessional and unfair in their practices and sales techniques. They refuse to refund my deposit due to the fact I don't qualify for financing and the requirement of additional down payment needed for this financing. I am performing my initial steps here for resolution before contacting my legal counsel. I can not understand how companies or individuals can get away with such corrupt business practices toward consumers. Pettibone RV needs to be investigated for these practices. I am trying to do what I can by reporting these actions to every agency I can and will continue to pursue this until it is resolved with the refund of my deposit in the amount of $1000. I will not give into these kind of corrupt business practices. https://www.facebook.com/Pettibone-RV-Sales-120474****35966/

Resolved: Munoz And Co Cpa - Stay Away, misleading service, money upfront and no refunds for services not rendered.

1. This company charged me $950 for a tax service they didn't supply. I was informed the resolution of some tax returns for 2 years by this CPA. I entered into an agreement for resolution with this CPA which never occurred. I continued to supply them the needed info and reached out to them for one month via phone calls and emails with no resolution to my tax returns for the IRS. I then reached out to another CPA because of frustration and for the same situation and everything was completed in 2 days versus waiting a month by this organization with no progress or resolution. Below is a statement by this CPA which is contradicting: I was not hired to prepare or file amended tax returns for you with the Internal Revenue Service. Nor was I hired to enter into an agreement with the IRS on your behalf to settle the tax debt. They also stated below: You indicated that the best thing to do is to request from the IRS a copy of the CP2000 notice. In order to file an amended return you need to know what the IRS changes were. We discussed that in lieu of this, it would be a good idea to prepare a dummy tax return with all of the information available and see if the IRS number is correct. If the numbers bear that the IRS is correct, then no amended tax return would be necessary and you would have several options in settling your tax debt. My response: Was I to assume in this instance, another CPA should prepare this dummy tax return with all this information you gathered to accomplish this instead of yourself being a CPA? How else would you be able to verify this information without determining an accurate return or dummy return to supply verbal recommendations. The agreement states you were not hired to prepare a tax return yet you informed me verbally and in writing you would have to do this for accurate verification. 1. Desired Settlement: Refund 2. Desired Outcome Description: A refund of $950 for services that were misleading and stretched on for 1 month requesting the cancellation two times and being denied. Taking this same information to another CPA the service was completed in 2 days with payment of $750
