The Residences At La Vista - Review, pretty pleased.
The Residences at La Vista resort is located very close to the Pedregal area, the staff was able to arrange a free shuttle service for us to one of the beaches within Pedregal, which are pretty private and beautiful. It’s pretty much close to everything, about a 20 min walk distance to the Medano beach and the Puerto Paraiso mall, and maybe a 7-10 min walk to ‘La Marina’. There are a bunch stores close to the resort as well, for groceries, souvenirs and pretty cool Mexican stuff. We were two couples and were offered a 2 br unit on the 4th floor (there may be several units available for renting as I believe it's a timeshare property). From our terrace, we had a fantastic view of downtown Cabo San Lucas. Our favorite spot was the jacuzzi in the terrace, and we spent most evenings there. We did had some heating issues with the Jacuzzi but we reported the issue and the staff fixed it for us the next afternoon. We were told it takes several hours to warm up. We were also told, that we had to ask the staff each time we wanted to use the Jacuzzi by the pool and the grill to turn on the gas, which we totally understood, since we are pretty supportive of any environmentally conscious practice. The manager of La Vista was very responsive from the booking stage right until we checked out, and we appreciated her being able to work with our schedule and requests. Except for one small mention for attending a timeshare presentation, which again we understood since is a pretty common business in Cabo, we were not bothered at all which was great. The pool area was a bit too quiet for us. Although the breakfast buffet and restaurant service were available, the palapa bar on the property was closed. The breakfast buffet cost $8 pp and had a decent number of continental and Mexican choices and the restaurant has very beautiful and comfortable chairs and since it has glass walls, you have a view of the pool and palapa, and a bit of the city sight. Keep in mind that since this property is located in a hilly area, it may be a challenge for someone with walking issues but we were able to manage just fine, although they do have some golf cars and transportation available for the residents, you just need to ask! We pretty much walked everywhere, it is pretty close to the night life as well, but far and high enough so you can sleep like a baby at night, pretty quiet, you can’t here almost anything of the city noise, which is a pretty good balance for me, between ‘being close but not too close’ It was also nice to learn that they had a gym, we didn’t use it because our plan was basically just to have a nice relaxing time, but we did take a glance and the equipment was pretty nice, so if that is something that interest you, you would be covered, also, if you are someone who would be planning on staying a very long time, or have a big family, the kitchen and laundry room would come really handy, I have to say, the residences at la vista is probably the most equipped place I have ever stayed, you could basically live there full time! The weather was perfect as usual in Cabo, we were there in the middle of January, leaving behind a very cold and cloudy winter in Seattle, we did had a couple of cloudy days and by night it does gets a bit chilly since is a dessert like area, but from about 10 am to 4 pm you could enjoy a very warm afternoon at the beach and plenty of sunshine for a nice tan. Everyone in the staff spoke pretty good English as most people in Los Cabos, so communication was never a problem, on the contrary, you could built a pretty good relationship with everyone, the entire staff was very friendly and warm, All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely consider staying here again. Thanks for everything!
