Poulan Pro - Lack of warranty

Hello, I purchased a Poulan chainsaw for light yard work. After a few months, while still under the year warranty, it broke. I took it to a repair shop to get it fixed. I was told, by the repair shop, it was my fault it broke and it would not be covered under warranty. I was then told it would cost me $200.00 to repair. I called Poulan customer service for the number to the warranty department. I was told they do not give out the warranty departments number. Now think about that. The shop, who want me to pay $200.00 wont honor my warranty, and I cant get in to contact with Poulan to discuss why I believe the shop to be in error. Stay away
