Disk Internals - False advertising and *** poor customer service

I found diskinternals when looking for a tool to recover a raid array. The crippled demo version seemed to do what I needed, so I ponied up the $250 for the full non-crippled edition. I let it run for 10 days with no luck. During that time, my disk did start clicking and now no longer works. I don't blame them for the drive going bad, but don't know their tool wasn't responsible. I asked for my money back since it didn't work as the demo version did. He said I was using it wrong.

What were you trying to recover. What kind of a RAID? Which OS? How many drives. Size of the drives? What kind of a server?

Recovering a RAID is not easy and Inever rely on 3rd party software. Siemens has some good tools as well as HP. But normally I use PLOP Linux. It's free and you can always find the strings that you need to use. Atleast many examples.

Is the drive dead? If not good luck.
