i had ordered this d25 subaru cly head thru autozone. i had ordered both cly heads it took a month to get the left head they said they would have to find the other head. after waiting another month i checked with autozone and at that point informed me that the cly head had been cancelled. i ordered one from subaru and got it within 2 weeks due to the fires in oregan. after assembling the engine and going to start it i had a huge oil leak. so i started looing at the engine and found the oil was coming from the top of the cly head pulled out the solenoid and checked it was dry. my daughter came by i had her turn the engine over found the leak was coming under the intake gasket on the left cly head i had recieved from surefire. i was able to move a corner of the intake gasket to see what could be the issue. what i found was surefire had left an oil galley plug out of the cly head. this particular location does not require an oil line to it it is a 5mm allen wrench small galley plug as well as going under the intake gasket. i was able to move enough of the gasket out of the was so as to get a new galley plug that i had purchased from subaru installed into the hole hopefully this is the only problem i will have. lack of confidence in their ability to do this their quality control seems to be an issue
