Cerritos Nissan - Review in Dealers category

350z my mother did not write this comment, I did her son, as if I was her writing it because I was pissed off that the problem was not fixed the first time only to find out today from my mother that she had two problems. One she told me her car did not want to accelerate which means she did need 2 catlyic converters. I didn't find this out untill today, I thought they replaced her catlyic converters because of the banging noise. Secondly they were wright about her rotors needing to be replaced and I did replace them and it did stop banging. I apologize to nissan and give them an A+ sorry for the misunderstanding.

Cerritos Nissan - Car Repair Review from Los Angeles, California

My 350z vibrated very hard making a hard banging noise when driving 35 mph and above. I missed out on a day of work and had it towed to Cerritos Nissan on a wensaday afternoon and they would not be able to look at it until Thursday so i got a renta car for $30 a day. They called me late Thursday and told me i needed two catlyic converters for $1400 and two oxygen sensors for $350 a total of $1750 plus tax and labor of course had to still be added. My son told me that it didnt sound right, and that an exhoust doesnt make a banging noise but it could be possible since its a sports car and we were unfamiliar with sports cars. My son read the pepboys maintenance book for my car and told me i did not need oxygen sensors because if it goes bad the computer compensates for this by going into a loop mode. My son confirmed this with the service guy and he said yes it can go without but they are bad. You know im hurting for money evan borrowing money to get this done he should of mention the oxygen sensors can be done at a later time, so know 2 catlyic converters for $1400 plus labor and tax it came up to $2150 my son grinded him for a lower price and got it down to $1950 so we allowed them to do it even though my son could of done it my son said let them do it incase thats not the problem then it would be there fault not his because he was suspicious of them. The part didn’t come untill monday and it was done late monday but i couldn't pick it up until Tuesday because of work. So i had a renta car for 6 days times $30 equals $180 that was way to long for something so easy to fix. After driving for 5 miles i still had the same problem they told me to drive back so i did. The service guy said he drove it around and it was fine, so he jumped in to drive it again and it locked up and wouldn't even go in reverse. So they had to look at it again and couldn't untill wensaday so they gave me loner car for $20 a day. My son was verry upset and said see mom i dont trust them there trying to make up for there loss, hes talking about when they told me i needed the entire front suspension done and i did but my son did the entire front suspension using new original parts it cost $4000.00 just for parts and my sons free labor, so i did what my son said tow it back home. So i turned my car in again on tuesday and had it towed from nissan back home on friday after being told what it needed on Thursday, that 4 days times $20 for renta car equals $80 plus the $180 from before thats $260. They told me i needed front and back rotors. My son did say mom its either the shaft bearings or the axle or the rotors and they are professionals mechanics and they couldn't even figure that out. Like my son said its a mechanical problem a catlyic converters is not going to make a banging noise. They even tried to sound like some good guys giving me a free diagnostic it was free only because my son told them it didnt need it was a easy mechanical problem but it was free so that they could say i needed oxygen sensors. My son bought for me all rotors and brakes all oem original for $650 and it runs perfect. Thank you Cerritos Nissan for nothing but a headache and missing 3 days of work never again will i go there and you should either.
