Light Of Brian - Unprofessional Behavior
Medium Beth Berry (Light of Brian), is very unprofessional in handling her business. I arranged for a 2 pm, hour-long phone reading many weeks in advance. Her email gave me a number to call with an access code. I subsequently forgot about this and on the apt. day, waited for her call. After five minutes I emailed her asking what happened. No response. After 15 minutes, ditto. Several hours later Beth Berry emailed back telling me I was supposed to have called her with the access code, and that she had “prepared all morning” for my reading and waited 10 minutes (no more) for me to call. I then understood my mistake and acknowledged that. Once aware of my mistake, I didn’t expect a refund, but I’m left wondering why after 10 minutes, Beth Berry did not email me (she didn’t have my phone) to ask what happened—especially if she had “prepared all morning” for the apt. I was at my computer all day and would have seen her email within minutes of receipt and would have promptly called with the access code, even if it meant a shorter session. Beth Berry obviously wanted an easy $180, and instead of using the eleventh minute of a 60-minute session to email me, she abandoned the session. A simple email of, “Hello, we had a 2 pm reading; I’m waiting for your call,” would have FIXED the problem! I emailed her to find out why she didn’t email me—at the 10 minute mark—to find out why I had not yet called, but she did not reply! Beth Berry of Light of Brian saw an opportunity to get paid for doing nothing and grabbed it. Meanwhile I would have happily called the number, given the access code and settled for a shortened session. Another point of interest is that when I made this original appointment, Beth Berry actually asked me whom I wanted to connect with! A legitimate medium does not ask such a leading question. This should raise a bright red flag for anyone considering Light of Brian for a reading.

OnFitness Magazine Recycles Old Articles
At least half of OnFitness Magazine is material from previous OnFitness issues. Some articles are rerun three times, four times. The Weights & Measures section is all old material. The repeats are often less than a year old. The publisher thinks subscribers won't notice this. Do you want to pay 9 bucks for a magazine that has material you already read? I don't think so. This is every single issue. I’m sure there are many subscribers who’ve caught onto this fiasco. The publisher is wondering why sales has dropped and has blamed a key writer of submitting stories that were online first. This is false. Sales have dropped because readers have caught on that at least half of any issue is recycled material from previous issues.

Chimp Media Works: Unprofessional Service (Web Development)
I hired Chimp Media Works to help migrate my Blogger content to Wordpress. She had no sense of online security: Without consulting me, she created my username using my full last name. She said the username couldn't be changed, that I was stuck with it, even though I eventually figured out how to change it. For various tasks, she took weeks to finish when it should've taken days. When I contacted her about issues, it would be days before I'd get a response, even though the contract said she'd respond within 24 hours just to acknowledge receipt of the new issue. She divided my site after Blogger migration to both http and https, which my next developer (and also new hosting company) told me was slowing traffic. The site speed was horribly slow; she kept saying it was fine on her end; but the next developer also said it was extremely slow. There were numerous other issues that she failed to address properly or gave wrong information about, like setting up the comments box, view-per-post tracking and sitemap. She failed to reactivate my Adsense after migration was complete. She did it three days later only when I pointed this out; I lost three days' earnings. After not contacting her for a while I sent her an email outlining her oversights, to which she accused me of "attacking" and "harassing" her. Even though she had told me (at the start of our business relationship) that my FIRST developer did a "***" job with the migration, "took advantage" of me, and that we had to start all over due to the first developer's mess -- in her response message to my outline of her oversights, she oddly accused me of "attacking" that first developer, too. Strangely, she claims that our past email chains can refute my criticisms, even though she'd never be able to produce any emails that contradict my claims here. Her rate is cheap but she charged many hours. The developer I hired after her confirmed that her work was substandard.
