Smartstop Self Storage - Complaint

This company charged me twice for the same month. I provided proof, and they refused to refund me the money, and they blamed it on the previous owner, and said there is nothing they can do about it. That is fraud and extortion. Then when the lock was broken to the climate controlled building where my unit was, they never fixed it...still broken after several months since we noticed and reported it to them. Then we just noticed the climate control is not working. It is hotter inside the unit than outside the building, in Florida, in mid-September. I will be terminating my lease this week, and I look into filing against them in Small Claims Court.

User's recommendation: avoid SmartStop like the plague that they are.
