PayPal - Why do I have to pay return postage for seller's mistake?

Updated by user Aug 17, 2018

My cost is $23.50 for the wrong item to be returned, and I receive NOTHING except a net loss of $23.50, and a lot of time and trouble involved in trying to get a FULL refund.

Original review Aug 17, 2018
I ordered an item (unfortunately from China) that cost $69.89. What I received was a completely different item with a value of no more than $25.00.

They sent the WRONG item. After getting the run-around from the China company, I filed a Paypal claim and won the claim. Except how did I win? I have to pay for the return postage on a product that I did not order and that was sent to me in error.

It will cost a minimum of $23.50 to send the wrong item back to China. So I am getting a refund equaling $46.49 after taking out the shipping cost. And I did NOTHING wrong.

How is this right? Paypal should refund my money and the seller should send me a postage-paid package if they want it back.

So now, to continue with the story - So I paid $69.89 + $23.50 to return an item that was NOT THE ITEM I ORDERED. Now Paypal says they can't get my money refunded because I didn't have a tracking number.

If you send via USPS there ISN'T a tracking number. So Paypal has closed the case and I get nothing back. So I blew more than $83.00 to what is probably a bogus company and got NOTHING.

No thanks, Paypal. Your customer NO-service SUCKS.

Home Depot selling out-dated merchandise

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

In December 2016 I purchased an LG stove from Home Depot. It was during the Christmas season and I noticed immediately that the top oven didn't cook as well as the lower, and didn't heat to the chosen temperature.

Time went on and finally earlier in July I got service for my oven. At that time I was told that my oven was built in DECEMBER 2015, not a 2016 model as I thought I had purchased. This was nearly 2 model years old.

Between Home Depot and LG, it seems that they should have had a duty to let me know I was paying full price for a "last year's model." I based my purchase on the consumer reports I had seen on the newer model, and this one isn't equal to it. Home depot was remiss in not telling me they were unloading an older model.

You know when you bye a water heater say a 6 yr model they will ask you if you want to purchase an extended warranty , you dont need one because the unit is covered for the 6 yrs ,, they dont tell you its prorated and the kicker is they go by the tag on heater for the mfg date and base the time from that when some have been on the shelf for yrs

best to save money and by heater from installing plumber ( licensed)there tanks are full warranty not prorated and start warranty at date of install.

I think you will find they go by the date on your receipt, unless of course you don't have one in which case they will look at the manufacture date.

If they BUILT it in December of 2015, it would have been a 2016 model. Model year is not the same as manufactured year (just like cars). Otherwise you could never buy a 2016 model in January of 2016 if they only started to build all the parts, assembly, etc in 2016.

Well stated.

The repair service said that it is a 2015 model based on the model number.

RUN! DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM EXPRESS SCRIPTS!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
OH YEAH. At least 3 hours on the phone THIS WEEK alone trying to figure out why husband can't get any drugs since 1st of FEBUARY. Not on Auto-refill. Should have been put on Auto-refill, AS REQUESTED when I went on Auto-refill IN FEBRUARY. Wasn't. Now (May 21) they say he can't get any more until July 1. Even though he didn't receive ANYTHING since February. Haven't spoken to ANYONE with English as first language. Was on auto-pay with credit card. Card was compromised. Express scripts can send me 9000 emails for BS, but couldn't send me one that said my card couldn't be used. Waited instead, to threaten no more of MY prescriptions could be filled until balance paid. Talked to at least 5 people who all said they would fix and get husband's prescriptions on the way, then I get a PHONE CALL that says nothing can be refilled until July 1. A few days ago they asked if I wanted TEXTS instead of PHONE CALLS. I signed up. Since, I have received no less than 6 phone calls and NO TEXTS. Do they EVER do anything RIGHT????? I tried to set up a separate account for husband on APP. Wouldn't work. Was on the phone 14 1/2 minutes (13 on hold) - finally got to a person and within 2 minutes was CUT OFF. They won't have to refill mine for very long. They will KILL ME WITH STRESS AND AGGRAVATION. I think we can all expect that once in a while there are inefficiencies. But these *** MUST be working on a record!

Adam, it just gets crazier. My doctor submitted new prescriptions June 14, and I have received a LOT of "updates on my order" ( 9 that I can put my eyes on at this minute) via email, but no order.

As recently as 1:30 today another "update on your order" stating that for 2 of the 6 prescriptions they had not heard back from my doctor after several attempts. Just NOT TRUE. My doctor's office handled the ONE COMMUNICATION that was sent on Tuesday, June 21. And even though I requested all my communication from Express Scripts come in TEXT instead of phone call, I have not yet received even one text, but still get phone calls.

The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, and I rue the day I started dealing with a company full of IDIOTS. For the officers of this company, you could have had employees that both speak and understand English, and triple your efficiency. But for your almighty DOLLAR you stick your customers with a bunch of middle eastern 3rd world sweat shop bozos who can't answer the questions because they don't understand the questions! I WILL NOT CALL FOR FEAR OF RAISING MY BLOOD PRESSURE, WHILE EXPRESS SCRIPTSIS HOLDING ON TO MY BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICINE.

I'm pretty sure, Adam, that you can't make much of a difference in this nightmare.
