Poulan Pro - Failure of product, lack of service, rudeness of customer service

After purchasing a Poulon Pro 42" 19 HP lawn tractor I started experiencing problems from the very start. Over two summers and the beginning of the third I replaced seven mower deck drive belts. It simply chewed them up and threw them. Twenty-five months after purchase and the unit only being used less than once a week to cut about 10,000 sq .feet the mower stopped moving, would not go forward or backward and rear wheels locked and would not release manually. Attempted to contact Poulon but could not get through or was hold till line went to a busy signal. Tried on line chat and got return message a day later telling me to go to service locator and contact authorized service center. Had only one is area and found they were backlogged four weeks for diagnostics plus it would cost $59.99 to have them pick up unit and return after repair. I then was refused any assistance from Poulo9n or Hasgavarna the parent company and was told I would have to bear total cost of diagnostics and repair estimated to begin at $900.+ this was $255.00 for diagnostics and estimated $675 for new transmission as they said it would be cheaper to switch it out then repair the existing one. The original price paid was $1200 and now close to $1000. for repair. The engine starts without fail and though it throws the drive belts for the deck the mower deck does otherwise operate. In the few times I have since gotten through to Poulon/Hasgavarna I have been treated rudely. This company does not have a reliable or customer friendly service organization and does not stand behind their product. The lack of service centers is appalling. I purchased the unit from Home Depot and they are not even authorized to service the equipment. I would never deal with them(Poulon) again.
