On August 6th I ordered a dual zone mini split system from Budget Air Supply through E Bay The set time of delivery was to be between 13 &;;14 August this time was crucial as this is my second home I am preparing for retirement and I took vacation to ensure I was at property to receive shipment, subsequently as I was checking daily on E- bay for updates on the tracking it showed item as being picked up by USPS on 7 Aug and provided a tracking number which according to USPS is invalid, on Aug 11 I received an E-Mail Invoice with a note that item had been shipped via Fed Ex with another # which turned out to be bogus as well,on 13 Aug I sent Budget Air Supply an Email via E-Bays portal to which I received no reply to my inquire as to when to expect delivery, I contacted Budget Air Supply on 13 Aug via phone concerning delivery, The Individual I spoke to stated that item had been picked up by trucking co ( Saia ) on 11 Aug he also sent a new updated invoice with that information, he then proceeded to tell me oh well that if I wanted it sooner I should have got a license and bought it locally from an HVAC suppler here, Since I work for Veterans Affairs as a Maintenance Mechanic I am not required to carry a contractors license although I do have a Universal EPA for handling refrigerants as I work on various Equipment, needless to say things escalated from there as I requested information on why they posted a est delivery date of 13/14 Aug if this could not be met , he stated it was E - bay's responsibility to update delivery dates, and they had no control over what E-bay posted and indicated it was too bad to sad my shipment was not arriving on time, I contacted E-bay help line they stated that it was the sellers responsibility to update status and as middle men they only posted what was provided to them by the seller, When I contacted the trucking co they stated they only received the pick up order on 11 Aug although the information provided on E-bay states it was picked up on 7 Aug, they also stated there was no way it was going to be delivered any sooner then 18 Aug which of course is almost a week later than advertised normally this would not be an issue except now I have to extend my vacation to be present for delivery since I was to return to AZ on Monday for work. In addition installation is put on hold as now I won't have the time to install and test the equipment. Budget Air Supply has shown a lackadaisical approach to this matter since they have already been paid and thus not their problem anymore.
