Verified Reviewer |PayPal - Redatory Corporate Fraud & Deceptive Fee Extraction (If it is a dropdown menu, choose "Fraud/Deceptive practices" or "Customer Service Fraud").
After PayPal restricted a 7-year account, withheld my personal refund, denied meaningful review, and left me unable to reach the decision-makers, I no longer trust PayPal with my money and do not believe I can use the service again.
They issued a written notice stating my account could "not receive money," yet they deliberately left the inbound gateway wide open solely to intercept a hard-fought $997.00 personal consumer refund from a January transaction.
They skimmed a $29.00 fee for corporate enrichment and permanently froze the remaining $968.00 principal, ignoring my physical purchase receipts and telling me over the phone there was "nothing I could do about it." They lied. I have officially engaged the CFPB, California DFPI, and Massachusetts MDOB, and am taking them to formal JAMS arbitration.
- Deceptive fee extraction and gateway lies
- Unlawful 180-day asset holds on refunds
- Punishes innocent identity theft victims
Preferred solution: PayPal must immediately execute a manual compliance override to release my trapped $968.00 personal principal balance, refund the $29.00 deceptively extracted processing fee, and permanently close this account per my explicit demand.
User's recommendation: Avoid PayPal entirely. They are completely untrustworthy and will manipulate their platform gateway to skim commercial fees off restricted accounts while trapping your personal funds. Get your money off this platform immediately before their uncontactable back-office team locks your life savings away without human review.

Anyone with any intelligence doesn't use PayPal and they certainly don't use it in reference to their "life savings".
