Once we arrived the rep Nabeel Ahmed greeted us. He seemed friendly enough, and was quick to show us the vehicle. The first thing I noticed that was wrong was when he opened the door and the interior was grey. My Mother specified she wanted the black interior. When I brought this up he ignored me and kept asking my Mother if she liked it, she said it was fine, and kept on about how wonderful it was. Ok, not that big of a deal, but did not appreciate him trying to persuade my Mother from what she initially wanted. After that he continued to show her the car, she explained that she has test driven one before and was prepared to buy. As we moved into the showroom I glanced at the paperwork on the window to see a price shock. She was going to purchase an Avalok XLS, he had showed her the Avalon Limited, with about a $12000 increase in price. I decided to see how he would handle this once in the office. Needless to say it escalated from there. We talked about her trade in, got approval for the manager and we all agreed on the value. Then he started trying to push all the extras, extra warranty, security system, you name it. Told him she was not interested, and he got upset. I said that I don't like you trying to push things onto my Mother that she doesn't need/want. Then asked him why he was trying to get her to buy a limited with a $12000 increased price. He said that was the only Avalon he had on the lot (lie, we passed a few coming in), when I pointed that out he switched to saying he left a message about the Limited on her phone, and to call back if she was interested(lie again, she uses voice to text because of her hearing, we have the entire message saying nothing about only having 1 Avalon, or anything about a Limited), I told him we used Costco Auto, and wanted to see the price that was supposedly negotiated so we wouldn't have to haggle. He wouldn't show us anything, and said he wasn't making any money off the sale at all(oh yes, another lie). I told him that if he wouldn't show us the Costco price, I would show him a comp we had found at a local dealer down the street. For the XSE that she wanted. He said why did we bother wasting his time then. At that point we got sick of his BS and left. A few words were exchanged as well. While I can't speak for the rest of the sales people there, this guy is a real piece of work. Will definitely be avoiding this dealership, and telling everyone I know to do so as well. Hopefully they can clean up their act. Really expected a lot more coming from a Costco approved dealer.

Cons:
  • Dealship was full of crooks

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

User's recommendation: Avoid the Costco Auto Program, it's just a scam dealers use to lure you in.
