They tried to scam me for $390 to fix my water-damaged iPhone 6. This is how they do it: The support team will initiate the water treatment procedure. This is done to fix the board's connectors. Shortly after, they'll warn you that your water-damaged equipment needs "deeper" treatment. They know this is needed due to the phone not showing anything on the screen. The $89 treatment is supposed to clean the logic board. Mind you, they are able to connect the phone to iTunes and erase it. Obviously there is no board-related problem. A week after, they will tell you that everything is fine but that you will require a new LCD and a new battery. After all this, It is obvious to me that the phone did NOT require a "deeper-cleaning" for $89. If anything, a new screen at most. 1. $49 for cleaning the logic board AKA CPU 2. $89 to replace the LCD output on the logic board AKA CPU 3. $70 to install the battery and LCD 4. $129 for new LCD 5. $49 for new battery

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and can assure you that we do not try to extract monies from customers for manufactured issues with phones. Water damage treatment is difficult and it is not always successful.

Many times, once we restore power to a device that has been water damaged, other issues present themselves that we would otherwise have no way of knowing until the device was powered on. Although we empathize with you, we can assure you that we always try our best and we never try to charge customers for repairs that we do not find essential.
