Alfa Romeo Threatens Customer with Bankruptcy
Alfa Romeo are threatening a customer with bankruptcy proceedings when her installment proposal to repay Alfa’s legal fees in the matter of a failed Mito turbo was rejected. Anita Jackson from Yorkshire, UK bought a new Alfa Romeo Mito in March 2011 but after religiously servicing it at an Alfa dealer the turbo failed in April 2014 just out of the warranty with only 12,783 miles on the clock. The turbo repair cost the Jacksons £525. Dissatisfied with the repair cost and the Alfa customer care attitude the Jacksons took out 2 unsuccessful small claims cases but the final claim for £499 was struck out and it was ruled the Jacksons should pay the Alfa legal fees of £1729!!
