Legacy Housing - Air Conditioning System Review from Houston, Texas

Legacy Housing #1527293
Legacy builds a house and does not build air conditioners! We apologize for your issues and the pain it caused you, but an A/C Unit has a warranty through the manufacturer that built said AC unit. In a site built home when the A/C goes out you dont call the builder of the home, you call the manufacturer of the AC. Thousands of AC units go out daily across America. It is unfair to blame Legacy Housing the home builder for your AC going out.

Brenda- I confirmed with Legacy's accounting department a check was mailed to customer Brenda Shafer. CHECK 37271 DATED 12/09/2016 was issued to Brenda Shafer @ 2750 W. LENINGTON RD. SALLISAW, claim #145957-SNL27554 for $98.00 Glad this was handled for her! Unfortunately, she did not change her review which is troublesome as it still reflects badly on Legacy even though we did the right thing!

Yes, I got my refund for the water leak, but I didn't get everything fixed on my home. You could see daylight through the top of the front door so they put up a metal strip over the outside so it wouldn't leak, I had to fix the cabinet doors myself because no one would come back out to fix them. I also had to have an electrician put in a new light switch in the kitchen which just fell out of the wall and the kitchen ceiling light fell out of the ceiling and my husband had to fix it. The ice maker was hooked up wrong and we had to fix it too. Even thought i got my $98 refund for the water leak because of the nails being shot through the lines when making the house I still had issues. The man that came out only fixed the front door with the gap and the back door that would not close and tacked up some siding that wasn't nailed and some panel strips. He said someone else would have to come fix the rest. So YES, my review should still be troublesome and should still reflect badly on Legacy because Legacy did NOT do the right thing and stand by their warranty.

Do not buy from Legacy Housing LTD.!!

This review has nothing to do with Legacy the manufacturer. We manufacture the home, not sell to consumers or handle anything regarding the sale of home to customers. Hopefully they were able to get your home fixed though!

How about you talk with your dealer to see whats going on. Why are they stealing from customers who are buying your homes? They are located next door in case you need their address.

Legacy Housing - Home Purchase Review from Arlington, Texas

Legacy Housing #1527259
Unfortunately, your review has nothing to do with Legacy Housing the builder. We do not deal directly to or interact with customers based on HUD laws and regulations. This situation was with your retailer who sold you the home whom Legacy the builder has no control over. On behalf of Legacy, we appologize for your treatment and will look into this matter to ensure customer service from retailers who sell Legacy homes better represents who we are as a company. Thanks for your comments.

Legacy Housing Ltd Mobile Home Review from Leesville, Louisiana

Legacy Housing #1527252
Sounds like your home was not setup correctly by Sabine Homes which in-turn had a disastrous effect on the rest of your home, ie: doors and windows not closing properly.. They are no longer an authorized dealer of Legacy's due to issues like this. As for your A/C Unit, freon charging, has to happen from time to time due to environmental conditions and incorrect manufacturing of the A/C unit. Hopefully this got charged and functioned like it was intended. Thank you for your comment and for your purchase of a Legacy home. We regret this experience has not been good for you and your family.

Review in Home Construction and Repair category from Cranford, New Jersey

Legacy Housing #1527250
We looked into this issue and could not find a complaint to the state police of Oklahoma or Texas. Legacy's transportation division always takes great care when transporting homes to ensure this cannot happen. Metal panels flying out from the roof does not sound right. Our doublewide homes only have shingle roofs. They tie down and cover roofs with a protective covering on all homes. Thank you for your comment and we will review this with our manufacturing plants to ensure this cannot and will not happen again.

Legacy Housing #1527241
Sorry to hear of your troubles with your Legacy home. Your new home carried a 1-year warranty. The retailer you purchased the home from would be whom you should have contacted to repair these issues during this first year of owning your home. If these issues happened after the 1st year of ownership due to wear & tear, like all other homes on the planet, you are required to fix yourself.

Legacy Homes is lying about their pricing.

Legacy Housing #1527217
Legacy Housing does not advertise any customer pricing for Singlewides or Doublewide HUD code homes. HUD deems that illegal and we have never dont that. We sell wholesale to dealerships and home selling businesses only. We do not sell HUD code homes direct to customers. As for advertising a home for $16,000, (which is nowhere near the price of a singlewide home). Heck even our dealers can't buy a HUD singlewide for that price. In 2015-2016, the advertised base price on our lowest cost Tiny Home was $16,995. That is Base Price of the Home Only and the ads clearly stated "STARTING AT". Transportation, Setup Costs, Dealer Fees, and Taxes make the home price go up which is why that price was $25,000 at USA Home Sales Center. I apologize on behalf of Legacy for the lack of clarity and the price you thought you could buy a home from. Unfortunately, with over 150 retailers across America, it is hard for Legacy the manufacturer to control what independent businesses in-turn advertise out. We agree that it is wrong and if we find dealers doing bait & switch pricing we will stop doing business with them.

Legacy Housing #1527204
Sorry to hear about your issues. This would be something that you should have immediately gone to where you purchased the home and filled out a service request to get fixed or called a contractor to come fix it. Calling a mobile home manufacturing plant is not the proper procedure for service requests. Legacy does not build homes with faulty-wiring. Each home is inspected by Legacy quality control team ( some of the best in the industry) and an inspector from NTA, a certified inspection service for all factory-built homes.

Non-Existent to Poor Customer Service After-Sale

Legacy Housing #1527197
We are sorry for your troubles. Sounds like issue #1 is related to the retailer your purchased your home. They are responsible for fixing punch out items, not Legacy the factory. Issue #2 is related to the manufacturer of your A/C unit. Legacy does not build those or warranty them. Each A/C unit will have it's own manufacturer's warranty. You should get the serial # of the unit and then find manufacturer of the A/C unit and contact them with that info. We use a variety of different distributors for buying A/C units at our 3 different factories so unfortunately, I cannot assist you with a service number for them. You would have to research online or call an A/C contractor out to assist. Issue #3 cannot be correct. the Collections department of Federal Investors who services your home loan -- are always on the phone with 7 people in a room. You must be calling a wrong number. Try (817) 632-2960

Customer service

Legacy Housing #1527179
I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Unfortunately, none of the problems you have listed above relate to Legacy Housing who built your home. The "finishing" of the trim sounds like it was spotty and should have easily been fixed by the company where you purchased your home. You could always go to Home Depot and get new trim if your un-satisfied with the Trim that came standard with your home. It sounds like the other problems you have --- should be addressed with the retailer where you bought your home and the company you hired to setup your home on your land. Legacy cannot control your land's ground shifting or the placement of your home and the environmental factors that come into play. A leak sounds like an issue when your contractors connected your plumbing or sewer and the involvement of ground-shift or home placement issues which can cause many issues if not done correctly and by certified professional installer / setup crew. Again, we highly recommend contacting your retailer where you purchased your home or hiring a contractor to come fix your issues to your exact specifications. Thanks for your Legacy home purchase and I hope one day you will give us another chance for your business! Definitely buy at another retailer though!

Plain Cheap Material mobile home from legacy

Legacy Housing #1527173
Oh no! Sorry to hear about your kitchen cabinets! Unfortunately, you are incorrect about our so-called "plain cheap material". Our cabinet doors and cabinetry components are some of the best in the industry --- Double-vacuum sealed vinyl-covered cabinet doors are really good and our 3/4" cabinet stiles are not paper so they last. Also our hinges on each cabinet door are tough and high-quality. If your cabinets fell off the wall, that is another problem in itself and any licensed contractor or the retailer you purchased your home from should easily and quickly be able to mount them back up! Again, we apologize for your troubles, but feel your review is incorrect about our materials and not correct. I encourage anyone who reads this to look at the cabinets inside a new Legacy home and decide for yourself.

Horrible They do not stand behind there product

Legacy Housing #1527167
We are sorry to hear of your troubles regarding your Legacy home. The communication problems are troublesome to me as our service department at each factory have outlined procedures that retailers and customers follow to get things fixed on a timely basis and they do a real good job of this. Calling whatever number you had for Legacy is not the proper procedure. Calling your retailer and getting their assistance is how it should have been handled and your problems would have been addressed. Legacy builds each home to a strict code mandated by the US Government. Each home is then signed off/inspected by NTA, an inspection agency overseeing all factory-built housing. Your floors not being level and humps in your dining room, and front door sticking sound to me as if your home was incorrectly setup by whomever you hired to setup your home. Legacy does not setup homes. We also do not build homes with un-level floors so this is not our fault. It clearly states in our installation manual how to correctly setup a Legacy home by a licensed professional and your retailer should have followed this. Also appliances like A/C units and Refrigerators do go out from time to time, in homes all ove...

Maverick Manufactured Homes #1527151
Legacy builds brand new homes. Your complaint needs to be logged to the business you purchased your used home from and quite possibly the person that previously owned the home. Legacy would never build a brand new home with a "burn mark" or mismatched countertops. Sounds like whomever owned it before did not treat it so good!

Myself and the dealer has already emailed and called the manufacturer. Spoke to Cory Little and Brent Cook and it has gotten us no where!! They keep saying they will send someone out but still nothing has been done! Just ask Brent about the Coles house and I’m sure he will know exactly who and what you’re talking about.

IF YOU WANT A TRAILER HOUSE THAT DONT LAST AT LEAST 3 YEARS

Legacy Housing #1527141
You are incorrect. Legacy does Warranty our product, offering a 1-year warranty with every home we build. This fact is stated in your buyers agreement and in your home contract you signed when you purchased your home. Your assertion that Legacy does not warranty our product & dont care is completely wrong and could not be further from the truth. Legacy homes are built strictly to HUD Code and each home is certified by NTA, an inspection agency overseeing manufactured housing production from the United States government. We are sorry to hear of your troubles with your home and the money you had to spend to get it fixed. I understand how this can cause you much anguish and I am sorry. Unfortunately, in certain cases, different weather-related factors (global warming is a thing), time, and the location of the home --- problems can occur with any home --- whether they are site-built home, modular homes, or a factory-built home like yours. My site-built home doesn't have a warranty, and I just had to pay $13,000 for foundation problems which caused cracks throughout my ceiling and walls. I didn't contact pissedconsumer and complain about the builder. I hired a contractor to fix it just as you had to do.

My delivery date was October 19, 2017. I do not trust these people. Purchased in Fairfield Texas. I have left all this with the company. My address is 5607 CR 294 Oakwood Texas. Phone is 903 208 ****. The salesman John Richards made so many promises he didn't fulfill. He's selling automobiles now. The company sold out and we are stuck. Did have someone out to do some repairs. Our guest tub that we paid extra for has a big ugly blob in the drain area where they attempted to fix *** in the tub. The cabinets are *** The trim is coming off the walls we have to fix it ourselves. Just all a mess!
