eHarmony - Continued billing even after auto renew was turned off

I assumed that since I had turned off auto renew that my billing would stop. It didn't. After two months I noticed the charges. I contacted them. They were dismissive and did not care one whit about my customer satisfaction, or the fact that the error occurred on their end. Total scam. They give a 3 day window to dispute auto renew, which of course is ridiculous since credit card charges don't even show up in that window. A customer would assume that turning off auto renew does the trick, but apparently it didn't. I would strongly recommend anyone stay away. Even as a member the matches were terrible, and I have had much better luck on other sites where I was matched with people who lived within a few hundred miles of me. In all, I can forgive the bad product. I took a chance on a service and it wasn't what I had hoped. My mistake. But I want my 2 months of fees back that I did not agree to pay those crooks.

I did tell my bank. Being the customer oriented institution that they are they gladly and quickly reversed the charges on their end.

It's all the more reason for e-harmony to be ashamed of their "customer service" by comparison.

Tell your bank.. they have to investigate fraud.
