Resolved: Ambit Energy - I still had to pay $68 out of my own pocket ...

They did what they said they would do in the agreement. My mistake ...

Original review Dec 15, 2015
When I signed up with Ambit Energy, they said I would get free electricity and natural gas if I found 15 others who would like to save money on their natural gas and electric bills. I was able to find 20 others who wanted to save some money, or get it for free. When I got my bill it was for $220. The average of the bill for Nov for other 20 people I had referred was $160. Ambit Energy only sent me a check for $160. I thought they would pay for 100% of my bill ? After talking to customer service, they said they would not pay for the "delivery charges or taxes" and would only pay what ever the "average bill" of the those I referred under my account, which ended up being $160. They did say that if my bill had been $160 for Nov, Ambit would have paid all BUT the $8 for taxes and delivery charge ...

So your complaint is you saved $160 on your bill.... Probably need a perspective of wow!

I did get free energy as informed! What a blessing vs. I still had to pay a few dollars from the electric company who supplies my electric. I would love to save $160 on my electric.

Maybe works towards making you electric use around $160 and not $220. I'm sure your electric company has great tips for you so they won't charge you.

Ambit doesn't charge you for what they do. All about perspective.

For the past month I have been getting emails that I need to choose a healthcare plan, but I already have one and have been paying my premiums to Arkansas Bluecross Blueshield for over a year. I have gone to their website and emailed customer service and asked them to tell me if I need to do anything? Today I contacted them for the 5th time this month, with no reply. I realize that the insurance companies don't like the Affordable Health Insurance Act, so they are deliberately sabotaging the system by not telling their clients, like me, what to do thus making everyone feel it is the fault of the Affordable Health Care Act, when in fact it is the fault of the big insurance conglomerates like Arkansas Bluecross Blueshield ...

Is this a New Corp Credit Card Scam ? WalMart Credit Card Payments Website

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Sep 16, 2015

Just went online to payoff my Sam's Club Credit Card. I tried to pay the statement balance, $38.00, and I got the following error message,

"The payment amount entered is larger than the current account balance.

Please select or enter an amount equal to or lower than the Current Balance below".

I actually owed $33.00

Why can't Walmart do this on their Credit Card payment website?

Original review Sep 15, 2015
I have a Walmart Credit card. I like to use it for gas etc at Walmart. My bill is due the 15th of the month and I like to schedule payments for the 11th of the month. Sept payment due was $780. I went online and scheduled the payment of $780 (I like to pay the full balance every month before the due date to avoid paying the 22% interest rate and any late payment fees). on the 9th I went online and scheduled the payment for the 11th, paid by auto withdrawal from my bank account as I always do. On the 13th I noticed that the payment was not showing up on the Scheduled payments section of my Walmart Credit Card payment webpage. I also noticed it had not been deducted from my bank account, nor had I received an email receipt from Walmart, so I assumed something went wrong and I scheduled another $780 payment, that was due in 2 days. Today, Sept 15th, I went to my bank account and noticed that WalMart had debited my bank account for the Aug 15 - Sept 15th statement balance of $780 twice. I went to the WalMart chat and told them what had happened and that my account was showing a balance of , -$780. I assumed WalMart chat person would see what had happened and immediately put the $780 over payment back in my bank account. To my surprise they said I had authorized both payments and the only way they could issue a refund of the $780 was to mail a check to me and that would take 5 - 15 days. I didn't realize it was legal for a credit card company to accept payment for more than what is owed on the statement. Imagine if WalMart, and other Credit Card companies found a "legal" way to use my money plus about 10 million other people's money for 15 days every month. Now I think about the payment I made to my automobile insurance payment last week, that is not yet showing up as being credited to that account, and what other account??? Looks like I will wait for my PAPER statement to arrive each month and then write out a PAPER check and buy a PAPER envelope and a stamp and start paying my bills the old fashion way again, via US Mail ...

Problems with payment

Preferred solution: They should not be allowed to accept payment for more than the amount that is due for the monthly statement that payment was scheduled to make payment on, or at least let a person know that they are making a duplicate payment on the same monthly statment

No, it is not a scam, it is called taking a payment, which is something all credit card companies do. If you felt something was wrong with the first payment, you should have contacted Walmart, not submitted another payment.

It doesn't take much thinking to know that. There is no one to blame but yourself.

You authorized the payment, and they took; not their fault, but yours. Grow up, take some responsibility, and stop blaming everyone else for the problems that you caused.

Jacinto Tqf

If they wanted to know what to do in order to resolve this issue, I would say they shouldn't accept 2 full payments for the same months credit card statement without asking the consumer something like "Are you sure you want to make a duplicate payment of this billing?"

Paid $119 for the product, attached to vehicle, went to their website and could not get a report! It said that I was "Over my report limit for the month" and I hadn't ordered any reports! I sent several emails to their customer support describing the problem, and never got a reply. Their advertising said nothing about being limited to 2 reports per month, reports being hooking the carmd to the computer and going to their website for a diagnosis of the problem. Big rip off in my opinion. Save some money and just go to Autozone and ask them to read your car's computer trouble code.

Resolved: FatCow Webhosting Over Charged me by $110 for my annual Domain Name Renewal

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had authorized FatCow Webhosting to take out $16.99 a year from my bank account, to keep my domain name current. I noticed on my bank statement that they had taken out $131.00 this time. I went to the website and logged in to find out what had happened. I was able to pull up the charge, but it did not tell what the charge was for other than saying it was the "FatCow Plan" and that was all. I could not find how to see what i had been charged for, without my authorization! When I contacted customer service, this is what they had to say: Shwetha B: Shall I cancel hosting from the account and refund $131.88 to your card? Steve Hula: How do I go in and cancel this myself? I have been trying but do not see any way to do this? FatCow: You can't do from your end. I can do it. Steve Hula: Yes, as I have said, please only charge me the $16.99 that I had authorized for the 1 year renewal of my Domain Name.

Nationstar Mortgage Dallas, TX

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Although I pay my mortgage a month in advance, I get a Late Notice every month from this company. They Have gone so far as to report me to the credit bureau. I contacted the TX State Attorney office and they looked at the complaint and contacted Nationstar Mortgage about it. Nationstar responded to them saying I was paying as agreed. The letters I am receiving are just random computer generated. But what do I need to do so they will stop sending me late notices in the mail??? It is very intimidating and frustrating to have to take the time to send a letter back to them each month with my proof of making the payment ...

Suddenlink Cable tv

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We started going over our 250 GB per month data usage shortly after signing up for NetFlix. The Suddenlink customer support said it must be because we were watching to much Netflix but we could have a tech person come to our home to check for any other problems. He came out and told use the router was bad, so we spent $49 on a new router plus paid Suddenlink $39 for a service call. It didn't make any difference and we just kept going over our 250 GB monthly data limit so I called NetFlix to see if they had any other complaints. They said no. I did some research on my own, and did you know that you can go into your Netflix account and adjust your "Playback Quality Settings". If you go with the HD settings you use 3 GB and hour. If you set it on LOW or basic setting, you use about .3 GB and hour. That's where the problem was and neither Netflix OR Suddenlink mentioned anything about this ...

Ambit Energy - Ambit said I could get "FREE ENERGY" and I can't!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When I signed up for Ambit electric and natural gas, Ambit is a supplier, nothing changes, the same people who always fixed the problems during a storm outage or something still come out to fix it, I was told if I referred 15 other people to Ambit, they would take the avrg of those bills every month and then subtract that amount from my bill every month. I went to the website and switched over with no problems in about 15 minutes at www.2FreeEng.com. Although it reduced my energy bill from about $230 a month to around $35 a month on the average, that is not FREE ENERGY since I still pay something every month!

Netflix siad that the streaming media will affect my internet usage plan since I am being charged extra when I go over my data plan, but I would need to be watching netflix at least every day to accumulate that much data ...

Original review Nov 05, 2014
We had to drop Netfix. We called Centurylink about our data usage and they claimed that Netflix was causing us to go over our monthly data limit. We called Netflix and they told us that Netfix doesn't take up that much data. Our internet provider, Centurylink, said we are going over our max. data usage and they said it was probably because we were watching too much Netflix? Anyway, Centurytel/Centurylink charges us an extra $30 or so if we go over, so had to cancel Netflix. When you take the $8 per month Netflix charges plus the extra $30 that Centurytel charged us for being over our data limit, that's $37 we end up paying for Netflix.

This is what our internet service provider said it is so we assume they should be the ones to know about this?

Netflix doesn't use very much data. I have a limit on my data and we stream netflix every day, all month long. So it is something else.
