With respect, if correcting the problem was based around a system restoration, then it was a software based issue and not under the control of the manufacturer. As such, it would only make sense that it wouldn't be their responsibility to reinstall third party programs.
Frustrating for sure. Unfortunately products can break, even though you expect them to last a lot longer. In the retailer's defence, they are providing you with a credit towards a new unit. Without an extended warranty, you'd be handling the entire cost yourself.
Check with the retailer you purchased it through. Many offer extended warranties that would cover this type of problem.

The retailer in my case was Home Depot. I have the extended warranty with Asurion. Home Depot, Asurion and LG say it is a cosmetic problem there fore it is not covered - despite the rust is turning the clothes orange.
Are you sure it's still under full warranty? Many less expensive brands only offer very limited warranties. Chances are paying an attorney will cost more than replacing the TV.
Seiki, along with brands like Prizmo, Vizio, Magnavox, Philips and others, are a number of less expensive and cheaper built TV brands. They require the unit be shipped in its original box and packaging for warranty service to take place. If you've failed to keep the box and packaging, it's generally up to the consumer to pay the manufacturer and have it shipped. Ultimately it's not cost effective even under warranty. THE TV IS DISPOSABLE. Without additional warranty coverage, you're better to just replace it yourself.
This is an issue dealing, not with Lowes, but the warranty coverage. Because it's not incumbent on the retailer to provide proof of purchase, I don't think it's anything they should receive a negative review about.
Give up. Seiki is one of a number of lower tier televisions that are flooding the market. Similar brands are Hier, Vizio, Proscan, Prizmo. They produce extra cheap but inexpensive products with warranties that are impossible to utilize. When they break, they're disposable.
It sounds like there was some communication issues. Probably a good reason to go somewhere else. It's a good reason to not purchase online. Go in store and get a sales associate that will oversee the delivery.
Many extended warranties are just that - extended. This means that they cover beyond the initial warranty, not in place of. Request a Terms and Conditions statement for shaft this extended warranty covers.
I love Maytag and their Centennial washers are actually made pretty well. Have you checked with the retailer you purchased it through? Many offer extended warranties that would replace the unit for you.
After only six weeks, I got a phone call reply from Maytag to my email. They assured me that this is not a known issue and that there was nothing they could do. My retailer couldn't do the extended warranty after two years. I plan on pulling the transmission out and replacing the upper bearing and tub seal myself and watch for sales.
Actually I agree with this policy. It assures that the consumer is not just trying to get an extra tote. The alternative is to have the consumer pay to send it back.

Hello, I see what you mean regarding the "getting an extra tote", but we have to take into account that: 1) You are buying a top product that should not present such defects with so little use. I already went through the trouble of watching my item go ruined, contacting customer services, not being offered a the same design item, and I should also pay to send it back?; 2) Companies must be responsible for providing a proper destination to their defective good, a destination that is friendly to the environment. Shame on me for being a responsible consumer?
With respect, one has to be careful they don't abuse the services of a company. I don't know that you have, but if you've returned others, especially outside of warranty, they have likely kept records.
I don't disagree that Vizio brand is a lower built line of TVs. They generally use cheaper parts supplied by other manufacturers and have a much higher defect rate. The fact that they're willing to replace it is good, and I wouldn't expect a new TV as the one you have is NOW also used.
I would suggest contacting an attorney and not using what you think is correct based upon the internet. I can tell you you can still be held accountable to repay the debt.

We realize we are responsible for the debt. Looks like a guarantor took it over after we had moved and we sent a certified letter to them with our concerns with GC. We have also tried to get GC to send us written verification or a tentative payment agreement but they have yet to do so. Instead they continue to give us the run around and insist we send them $ that is beyond our budget with nothing in writing! We want to get this paid but wAnt to make darn sure the payments are applied to the original debt and not going in their pockets.
I'm sorry to hear of your experience with LG. Overall, I've found LG to be a very good and reliable brand. If I can, I'd like to try and answer a few of your issues. To begin with, the only time you'll get consistent and even heating on any oven is if you purchase a convection range. This feature is incorporated on any oven to specifically heat throughout the oven cavity at a consistent temperature. Next, refrigerators are produced differently throughout the market now. One should not be too alarmed just because they hear sounds that are uncommon with their older fridge. Finally, washers always have their dispenser fill with water. It's how the dispenser works -- through a backwash design at the proper time during the wash cycles. Hopefully this answers a lot of your concerns.
Many product pricing is set by the manufacture. It's not up to the retailer, let alone an individual sales associate to arbitrarily set the price. Saying they would meet any other competitor's price is reasonable.
If I understand the review correctly, the OP is saying that he/she expected to have PC Richards run a gas line and turnoff valve as part of the gas dryer installation. I would think most people would know a gas turnoff valve would be required for the dryer to be installed.
You mention that the unit is still under warranty and it's now approximately 4 years old. It's good that it's under warranty. This suggests additional warranty coverage is aiding you in getting the unit serviced. Hopefully I can provide some insight. Most warranty providers use a three strike rule for determining when and if a product is a "lemon" and just needs to be replaced. In essence this means that there must be verification of a product failing three times with the same problem within a given time-frame. This doesn't mean that the consumer claims it fails, it must be verified by a service technician. Service must then be performed on the unit to correct the problem. If the product continues to fail in the same way the additional two times, by the fourth time, the warranty provider is USUALLY ready to call it a lemon and replace it outright. So, it's important you keep documentation of each service call and the work that's done on the unit. What I've listed are basic guidelines and not necessarily the way every warranty provider will handle the servicing of your unit. It's why the place that handles your warranty can be so important. As a comment, I might sugg...remely careful to not use anything other than HE labeled detergent. If you're trying to use traditional detergent in an HE unit, the seals can be compromised and, you guessed it, the bearings become damaged. It is truthful that Samsung does have a difficulty in getting parts for their appliances. It's nearly impossible to stock every part for every appliance so service technicians commonly keep the parts that are more common, but then order those parts as needed. In many cases, they're going half way around the globe to get them for Samsung.
This review is extremely difficult to decipher. It seems the writer arbitrarily returned the second night without calling first or paying to have one reserved for him/her.
Normally you should be able to initialize an appointment for your fridge by simply contacting the retailer you purchased it through. No reason at all for taking the entire day off of work.
That sounds frustrating, but it was good that they replaced the unit for you by basically buying you another brand's product. I've recommended Whirlpool products to family members, as I've owned them myself and very much enjoy them.

Kitchenaid oven, KEBS207, stopped working after self cleaning cycle was used
Without question, many people use the self-cleaning feature in this unit with great success. Have you checked with the retailer you purchased the unit through to see if it is under any form of warranty?

If you purchased it discounted, it was likely sold as is. Manufacturer's warranties may or may not apply is such cases but is offset by the fact you were not charged the full retail on the unit. Be aware, cosmetics such as rusting are not usually covered under warranty guidelines. Only the functionality is covered. So the ultimate question, is the unit now functional?
Some of these policies can be based upon manufacturer's regulations. It's worth contacting HHGregg first to ask them as to the service centers within your area. It may be something very simple that can be fixed much easier than outright exchanging the unit.

So far we have had a few problems with delivery that were resolved. Also both W/D pedestals were damaged and had to be replaced. I was told they would be delivered the next day and when they weren't I called HHGREGG and they gave me a $50.00 in store credit card and they were delivered the next day. So far we are waiting on getting our Visa Rabate cards in the amount of $500.00 and another for $100.00 in the next 30 days. If we don't get them all *** will break loose.
Who was the manufacturer of the mower? Normally the retailer is not directly responsible for the warranty coverage, thus my question. How long had you had the mower? How did you receive the mower to begin with?
Personally, I like Dyson vacuums. The concern here is where the extra unit is. Hopefully you paid to have the secondary unit tracked so you can show when it arrived properly. Without such, I'm not sure how you can show you even mailed the second unit back to them.
Buying large scale or more expensive merchandise though a website is asking for problems. In fact, it's the number one reason, indirectly, that people complain about their purchase. Too many problems can exist with a new appliance and trying to facilitate a positive outcome with someone not local creates too many logistical problems. Although it's not uncommon to find difference pricing between brick and mortar and online, most locations will fix the issue if you bring it to the proper attention of a manager.
I can't picture a "lace" swimsuit. I would think that it would rather be like wearing nothing at all. It sounds like you're having some sort of allergic reaction rather than chemical burn. I sure hope everything turns out okay.
This review doesn't provide much in the way of details. Windows 8.x is not an Asus product, it's Microsoft. Although many people have complained about the Metro style interface, you can re-install the 7 button through 3rd party apps. If there are issues with the system, you should work with the retailer you purchased the unit through.
With respect, return the merchandise. If you're unhappy with the way they are working with you, it's the one way to make them aware you're not willing to accept such service.
I might be able to be of some help. The review didn't give exact details, so please excuse me if I give details that have already been completed. You claim the refrigerator is under the original warranty, which indicates the first year. If the cooling is having a problem, you need to be able to show that with an independent thermometer setting within the fridge. If it's off more than a few degrees to what the fridge is set to, then you should expect the unit to be serviced properly. Many times, it's the retailer that can assist you with such a situation. Again, if you can show the unit is not performing properly, and any more than three authorized service technicians cannot fix the issue, it can be considered a lemon and exchanged for new. Get the retailer you purchased it through to assist in such an exchange.
I've got a Panasonic microwave and find it works wonderfully. Many times physical breakage is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty, but you may want to check with the retailer you purchased it through. Many times they offer extended service programs that may be of use in a situation such as this.
I have Frigidaire products and like them very much. Their Gallery microwave with convection bake is a great value and has won a considerable amount of awards for innovation.
