Pep Boys - Classic Bait and Switch tactics

Friday night 9//1/18 I ordered a battery from these guys. The only place it was available was in Orem, which is about 22 miles from my home, I live in Sandy Utah. I received a copy of the order with prices and charges on it. The next day I received an email from Pep Boys telling me my order was ready. This was on Saturday, they also said I had 8 days to go in pay and pick it up. Sunday I arrived at the store, handed them my order, which showed total, order number and all and they told me they could not find it in the system so they would not honor the additional 25% off that the order showed. I kept telling the guy here it is in writing, here is a copy of the email that shows the order and confirmation. He told me it must have gotten lost so I could pay the in store pricing. I was more than irritated and told him it was fine I would give the information to the Attorney Generals office of Consumer Protection and file a Bait and Switch complaint. At this time the man that was helping me, who was hispanic with no name tag, laughed at me and told me there was no way I would file a complaint for 30 dollars. I told him with his attitude and customer service I would to it for 1 cent. After this he said he would honor he price. Seems these days everyone is out to screw the consumer. they offer one price then try to chanrge you more.

Comcast - No deals for me just contracts

Called Comcast on December 06, 2017 and the call was answered by a girl giving her name as Aconna, I asked to speak to a manager becauser my bill just keeps going up like always. She put me on hold for 15 minutes when a girl identifying herself as Candice and a supervisor came on. I told her my bill has gone up $60.00 a month in the last year. And asked what I could do to lower it. She told me there was nothing I could do except sign a five year contract which would make the bill go down $10.00 a month and I could take this plan or nothing. Im not kidding with this that is what she said then she hung up on me. Ive been a Comcast customer for about 17 years now, the customer service gets worse and worse. They tell you they are putting you on one plan then that is not what you get. They constantly lie to you about what they are selling you. Customer retention department is nothing but a joke. Its hard where we live to get anyone else for internet. Seems like your plan going from 146 a month to 210 a month within a year is a bit rediculous. Especially when you pay for a higher internet speed and the one you get doesnt even come close to it. Their comment is its always your equipment not theirs. I dont know when customer longevity stopped accounting for anything and loyalty to a company means nothing. Comcast will do about anything to get a new customer but they show no appreciation to somone that has been with them for years. One of our friends signed up with them not long ago and we warned them. Now they are going back to Direct TV.

Watts Premier - Great at taking your money and trying to solve your problem.

Never have heard anything from Watts. They were receptive as long as I would keep purchasing parts from them.

Once I didnt want to keep buyin they had enough of me and never responded to anything.

We replaced their unit with a Home Master system. So far its been a good decision.

Purchased a reverse osmosis system from Costco about 3 years ago. It was a Watts wp5 system. It has worked pretty good since we purchased it. About 5 months ago the system began running waste water all the time. After the tank is full it still continues to run a full stream of water and never shuts off. Contacted Watts, their customer service is really receptive, and they told me to blow out the tank and that should fix it. If not replace the auto shut off valve. I did both of those the problem continues. Now their suggestion is to just start replacing parts till I find the problem and if not just buy a new one. I liked their suggestion on just buying new one since replacing the parts they want will cost as much as buying a new one then after I spent all that money I can buy a new one any way. I notice Costco doesnt use their brand anymore Im guessing due to problems. Im replacing it but with another brand. If your good with $180 for 3 years this brand might be for you. My problem is that every time you need to do one of their trial fixs you have to drain the system and rechanrge it.
